I got my first tattoo from Mike and it came out amazing! When I called Mike I told him I have never had a tattoo. I wanted the words \\\"Love yourself\\\" with a nice background. I have many tattoos but they all pale in comparison with the one I just got from Mike at Blackwater. Not only is the tattoo amazing but his customer service is on point! Most tattoo artist make you feel like they are doing you a favor not Mike he makes sure you are taken care of and happy throughout the process! Highest recommendation!

10/10 experience! I found this business on google, contacted them, and luckily was able to book a session the very same day for two pieces. Their customer service is professional and amazing, friendly. The space for the tattooing was clean, innovative, and perfect. Most importantly… THE ARTWORK IS PRISTINE! We had a small convo when I arrived about what was done to the designs and why it was made the way it was. I can tell he knows his stuff! Very passionate about artwork and giving the best to each piece. I highly recommend and look forward to getting more ink from Blackwater Tattoo!!!

Mike really is one of the best! He did a piece for me quite a few years ago which still looks great. I finally decided on a half sleeve and was lucky enough to get an appointment while he was in Tulsa. Mike works quick, but with extreme attention to detail. I can't say enough about the design and how much the color pops. If you're needing a piece of art, he's your guy!Service: Sleeve tattoos

Mike is one of the best around, not just in San Diego. I love to see people passionate about their craft and Mike is that! It had been around 15 years since I had work done by him and the color is still amazing. So when I was looking for more work to be done last week, I of course went back to Mike. I simply told him some of the elements I wanted to be sure were in the tattoo and then let him put his creativity and style in the design. His new mobile shop is super clean and comfortable. It is nice to have the privacy instead of being in a busy shop with people coming in and out. Mike is not too heavy handed which makes for a comfortable experience and nice healing if you follow his after care. In addition to the great artwork and tattoo you can expect good conversation from a genuine dude who is also a family man. If you are looking for a custom piece be sure to reach out to Mike, you won't be disappointed!
