We were referred here via Kaiser for radiation treatment. To say that the difference in care between Kaiser and USCD is stark would be an understatement. The demeanor of the workers, the welcoming feeling of the facility, the professionally, the degree to which they are equipped to address issues, etc. All of it has been truly excellent. I'm a patient of Dr Brent Rose and receiving radiation therapy at the PET/CT Center. Everyone I've encountered has been wonderful...from the receptionist, Dr Rose and his nurse Kate to all the techs who provide my treatment with the Torrey Pines machine. I was originally diagnosed by Kaiser Permanente San Diego Urology. The experience at UC San Diego with Dr Rose is light years better than my experience with Kaiser. At Kaiser, I feel like another case with cancer being processed through their factory (absolutely NOT what you need when you have cancer). At UCSD I feel like I'm being treated as a person. Dr Rose likes having a discussion about my treatment and answering questions. (Unlike Kaiser where they push as much as possible to short phone calls where the urologists talk at you and do not like it when you ask questions or dare to challenge what they are telling you.) I also feel like I'm getting the best care for me rather than the Kaiser "standard". My experience really speaks to the value of getting cancer care at a nationally accredited cancer center rather than a place like Kaiser. I'm very grateful to Dr Rose and everyone in Radiation Oncology!

This is a fantastic place. Great staff and friendly service. Most of the time if you are early for your appointment they take you right in. We highly recommend this place for all your needs.
