About Mission Valley YMCA
The Mission Valley YMCA has been a cornerstone of the community since 1981, dedicated to promoting a healthier lifestyle for families. This well-maintained facility offers a range of amenities, including two pools, a spacious gym, and clean bathrooms and lockers. Visitors appreciate the vibrant atmosphere, although it can get busy, especially during summer camp sessions. The YMCA provides a supportive environment with diverse fitness classes led by enthusiastic instructors and motivating music. In addition to fitness classes, the facility offers youth programs, personal training, and swim lessons, although some additional programs may require extra fees. Members value the convenient location with ample parking and easy access to public transport. The community-focused atmosphere, variety of offerings, and commitment to healthy living make the Mission Valley YMCA a great place for fitness and family engagement. Customers particularly praise the exceptional group fitness instructors, such as Dinah and Rachel, who contribute to the positive experience. The Zumba classes with Lachele on Fridays and Mondays are also highly recommended, with a fun and welcoming atmosphere for all ages.
Good facilities but not the friendliest - fun pickleball group but staff often cuts hours for other things - love the egym however there is a sign in the room saying that staff gets to pick the music for their well being so bring headsets if you don’t like things like rap
If you're there for the pool, cardio, or classes this place is AMAZING. Lots of equipment and its nice. If you are there to lift, NOT GREAT. Small weight room, I've never been there without having to wait for someone. Go to the City Heights Y and their weight room is literally 5x bigger.
Pretty solid gym so far. Been going for a month. Lots of cardio and weight equipment, and the newer EGYM circuit training machines. The employees are courteous and polite. The hours are also solid. Opens at 5am on weekdays.
