I don't like the check in experience. I understand if they have to be careful make sure that people are legitimate and they really have an appointment but they do come off kind of intimidating. I got discouraged at least twice and almost walked out. fortunately one of the people noticed I was sitting and checked me in.
After having so many issues with insurance, I finally went to this clinic just for ease and to get my annual. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of care.
My last experience was at Scripps in Hillcrest who refused to see me in person and do my annual *physical* via video chat which lasted about ten minutes. In contrast, Dr. Norton spend around 45 minutes with me as she went through my medical history. She made me feel comfortable and listened to me.
Since then, I have been back multiple times for routine healthcare and have had nothing but positive experiences.
Mid City Health Clinic is exceptional. My senior citizen mother and I have been patients at this clinic for over fifteen years. From the patient service representatives to the nurse practitioners and doctors they staff is prompt and consistently follow-up with patients to make sure they receive Dr's orders.
My mom is very challenging to deal with (Trust Me) but for some reason this clinic has been really patient with her. All medical supplies and DME are ordered and delivered as Dr. ordered, Labs ext.
I give Mid City a Five star..............
