My mom had a stoke in April 2023. The stroke affected her speech and cognitive functions. After the initial treatments and follow ups, there was not much more western medicine can offer besides rehabilitation. One of her friends suggested acupuncture, so we gave it a try. Frankly, I was skeptical about how effective it would be. I called and inquired for more information. The front desk answered the phone, patiently answered all my questions, and made an appointment. At the initial consultation, The doctor explained that stroke treatments are most effective within a month of the onset. Since it's just a been little over a month for my mom, he thought we should start her treatments aggressively at the rate of 4 times per week. After 3 weeks, there were noticeable improvements in her memory and speech pattern. We continued treatments for my Mom's other health issues as well. One thing I should note is that the doctor is very focused and task oriented. You need to ask him your questions or let him know about your concerns, not just waiting for him to speak to you. My mom's condition continue to improve under the doctor's care. We are very grateful to have found him and would highly recommend his service to anyone.

I had debilitating migraines from TMJ. After a single sessions with Dr. Kuo, there was instant relieve and I can feel the tension release from my entire jaw. My family doctor prescribed muscle relaxers which is not an option as I have small kids to take care of. Thank you Dr. Kuo and Emma for giving me quality of life back again.

I consistently avoid hyperbole but the word "miracle" feels appropriate here. My 92-year old father's verbal skills and memory have been decreasing for several years. Recently, he had difficulty putting 2 to 3 words together in conversation. His comprehension was also in severe decline. I found myself restricting my sentences to "how are you", "how was lunch?". I knew "what was for lunch" would be too frustrating for him. Worst of all, he began to withdraw and refuse to even try and speak. He's been seeing Dr. Kuo for 8 weeks. The transformation is astonishing. He has started initiating conversations, his sentences are several words in length, and his vocabulary has recovered. Today he remembered that our old house was "situated between two steep inclines". My sister and I are both inspired to seek treatment as well. The best gift ever. A yelp review feels so inadequate!

Amazing doctor who cured my planters fasciitis in both feet. I had a year of pain and tried every gadget, trick or wives tale for a year. Finally I found this doctor and it was cured totally with no reoccurrence! I've been back for years with little tennis injuries, sciatica, tendinitis, and ankle sprain etc He's magical. He keeps the inflammation out of my body and he's a perfectionist. I will go there all of my life for any problem.

I may be the odd ball out but wow, I was not a fan of this place. Disclaimer: I have had acupuncture done many times, for many years! And I love it. I thought I'd find somewhere closer to home, since driving all the way to Banker's Hill to get taken care of. I made a bad choice. Yes, the facility was clean, and the lady at the front desk but that's where it ended. The dr that took care of me (owner) was SO rushed, rushed through my questionnaire, literally just stuck the needles in and left. While I'm also used to my acupuncturist leaving the room so the needles can do their work - there was zero bedside manner. When he came back in he threw on the lights and removed all the needles and had me up and out within 30 seconds. I was shocked. I'll never be back here again. Guess I'm on the hunt for somewhere new that has better bedside manner and cares about the patient experience.

Firstly, I am a firm believer that Acupuncture IS magic! However, I've just got home from my first appointment with Dr. Kou, and I just have to shout my praise: Dr. Kou is a f'n magical sorcerer expert!!! The location is easy to find, with ample parking. The office is pristine and beautiful. There's an open community treatment area and there are private rooms for the shy folks. Dr. Kou himself, leaves nothing to be desired in terms of bedside manner. That's freakin high praise coming from someone in the healthcare field! I've had acupuncture before without any negative experiences. Dr. Kou exceeded every experience I've had - and the only reason I'm not going to my usual spot is cuz they've closed for good. Pricing is fair and worth it. And, I've got no Cons. Check him out for yourself if you're a doubty-McDoubter.

Dr.K is INCREDIBLE! I have had 3 visits so far with significant reduction in neck, back pain and fibromyalgia. I highly recommend Living Stream wellness, lovely clean professional office. Emma at the front desk is very organized and accommodating.

I can say that I had my doubts about acupuncture but as I walked into the office it felt warm and welcoming, then I met Emma ... what an Angel. I went back into the consultation room where I met Dr. Kuo, he listened to my problem and then he taught me about acupuncture and what he would be doing. He is the best Doctor I have seen in a very long time, soft spoken and super gentle, telling you what he will do and then makes sure that you’re doing okay. He does this every time and that showed me that he cares about each patient 100 %, I would recommend everyone to come and experience the wonders of Living Stream Wellness, you will not be sorry.
