Kara Velez is an amazing acupuncturist and I highly recommend. I have been going to acupuncture in San Diego for the past 10 years. Kara is the best I have ever used over that time. She takes extra time to get to know you and your conditions/symptoms. She creates a mood and energy in the room that makes you feel safe and relaxed. Her treatments address your concerns and make you feel better connected/energized. She follows up and ensures that your symptoms are improving. It was easy and convenient to make appointments on her website, and she was great to work with if I had to cancel. Overall, great experience and highly recommend to all my friends and family.
Initially a skeptic of acupuncture, I can honestly say that working with Kara has been by far the most effective treatment for my chronic low back pain and sciatica. Her close attention to problem areas and pain points to inform targeted therapy has been a game changer in my recovery. I would highly recommend!
I was struggling with tingling sensations and pain in my arm and shoulder from a sports injury. I'd been trying chiropractic and massage but wasn't seeing a lot of progress. I was referred to Kara to try acupuncture, which I'd never tried before and was skeptical of. Kara used a combination of deep tissue work and acupuncture and I started seeing noticeable improvement very quickly and over the course of about 2 months recovered to 100%. I can't recommend Kara enough. She's friendly and explains everything very well and her technique is incredibly effective. If you're considering trying acupuncture or looking for a good acupuncturist definitely start with Kara!
