My son takes piano lessons with Joy and she is very patient with him (he's a beginner). Her prices are reasonable and my son feels very comfortable with her. I would highly recommend her for lessons.

I was looking to add some form of art to my son's life, since it is no longer part of his school's curriculum. I called several music studios and met with the piano teachers; I found that most were too strict and their energy was not a positive one. I found Joyful Music Studio in my neighborhood and called. Joy called me back right away and when we met, I was instantly drawn to her great smile and energy. My son has been going to her ever since, 3 years now. She is the most patient professional I have met. My son has done very well and also loves her. Her teaching style is appropriate and has met all my expectations. My daughters and I have been students of Joy's for about a year and a half. Joy is a very skilled pianist, and this is definitely something you absolutely need in a music instructor. I previously had a less skilled piano teacher for about 3 years that allowed so many bad habits I was unaware of until I started lessons with Joy. With patience and understanding, Joy has helped me to unlearn some very bad habits, and my piano performance sounds so much better. She allows me (an adult beginner) the flexibility to choose music that I would like to learn since I only take the lessons for my personal enjoyment.
