About Avian Water and Banh Mi Sandwich
Avian Water and Banh Mi Sandwich offers delicious banh mi sandwiches, including options like grilled pork, grilled chicken, and grilled beef. The baguette is perfectly toasted and filled with flavorful meat, fresh vegetables, and Vietnamese mayo. While the sandwiches are tasty, some customers feel that for the price, they expected more, especially compared to cheaper options elsewhere. The restaurant also serves boba drinks, including popular choices like the taro smoothie, although the boba can be a bit chewy for some. Spring rolls are available as well. It is considered a hidden gem with prices slightly lower than some competitors, though there is a 75 cent charge for credit card transactions. The atmosphere is quiet and pleasant, making it a nice spot to enjoy a meal or wait for orders called out by a small speaker. Customer service is always nice, and while prices have gone up, many still enjoy treating themselves to this restaurant.
We ordered the grilled beef and grilled chicken banh mi with Vietnamese iced coffees. The drinks were more expensive than the sandwiches. I would come back if I'm in the area to try more of the banh mi.
The sandwich I got tasted good. The problem is that for a $10 sandwich I expected more. The sandwich is made with a thin torta bread. I’ve been more satisfied with the $5 sandwiches from Sprouts.
I always order the taro smoothie when I come here. It’s my favorite. I personally don’t like the boba because it’s a bit too chewy for me, but that’s just my preference. The customer service is always nice. It’s quiet inside, the smell is pleasant, and you can even wait outside. A small speaker will call out your order when it’s ready. I’ve been coming here for years and have never had a problem with the drinks. The prices have gone up, so it’s a little pricey, but it’s a great treat once in a while. I wouldn’t go every day or week, but I still recommend it.
