The Salesman came out, looked at the roof and said "you need 32 panels and it'll cost ~$45,000". He didn't ask about my electricity usage or my goals and didn't take any efficiency measurements, not even a compass to see solar would work for me. After a couple of weeks, he called telling me he'd left Akeena due to unpaid commissions, was with another solar company and tried to convince me to go with them! Very unprofessional. By that time, I'd done more research and ended up going with a company called Real Goods Solar, well known in the Bay Area. Do NOT do business with Akeena Solar. HORRIBLE customer service; the employees that I interacted with were rude, inconsiderate, and lazy. I will NOT be going back to Akeena in the future.
