J.S. Hair Design is a family friendly atmosphere created by Jake and his wife Joanna. Jake is an amazing and excellent barber who consistently provides outstanding men's haircuts at a fair price. He understands how hair lays and cuts it so it always looks great, with lots of compliments from family. Joanna is a lovely hairdresser who is professional, kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly skilled. She always takes such great care of hair, truly listens to personal hair goals, and provides a thorough consultation. The salon is impeccably clean with a chic and modern decor, creating a relaxing environment with comfortable seating and soothing music. The new shop in San Anselmo has the same focus on making hair look its best. Service includes haircuts, color, highlights, and waxing. Joanna does an amazing job of cutting and coloring hair, always exactly how it is pictured in the mind. She is very attentive and thorough when listening to what is wanted, and it always turns out great. Customers have been going for years and will continue to be clients for many years to come.
Jake has been my barber for six years and I'm so happy to have found him. Love his new shop: great central Marin location with its own parking lot in downtown San Anselmo; a clean, spacious salon with A/C; reasonable pricing; and great service!
I just went to Jake Soth for the first time to get my hair trimmed. He was super knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. I trusted him immediately and even followed his recommendation to cut my hair shorter than I had originally wanted to and found it looking full fuller and bouncier than I expected. I will be coming back and I suggest you go to. Their prices are very reasonable for Marin.
Jake has been my barber for around 10 years now, and I'll always recommend him to friends and family. He's great at what he does, pays attention to every detail, and genuinely cares about giving you a quality haircut. His new shop is clean, organized, and has a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in.
At this point, I don't even have to tell him what I want. I trust him completely and know I'll leave with a great cut every single time. It's not easy to find a barber who's this consistent, and that's why I've been going to him for so long.
