“TLDR: This place is amazing. The shop owner and his wife are very sweet and I think I might have found my tattoo artist soulmate Skyler. Great experience, beautiful work and amazing personalities. I don't normally write reviews, but the experience has been stuck in the back of my head so hopefully it'll convince you to come check them out. Booking Process: Skyler had a last-minute opening through his Instagram and I was able to snatch it. He was very responsive and his enthusiasm and passion are evident even in the way he messages. He had a killer deal because he wanted to tattoo a certain style. I gave him some ideas of what I wanted included in the piece and he was able to have custom artwork for an upper arm piece done by my appointment less than two days later! I wanted to include dog skulls in the piece to represent my own dogs and he even went so far as to research skull reference pictures that were closest to their breeds (he found a chihuaha/mini poodle mix skull!). I didn't see the art until the consultation, but I was in love right away. Skyler has a great eye for composition, the elements blended seamlessly. He also placed the stencil perfectly on the first go. Location/Shop: Unfortunately, the shop is not in the safest location. I've lived in South Sacramento, so I'm familiar with the area. However, the inside of the shop itself is a stark contrast from it's surrounding area. Great natural lighting, clean and inviting. There are plants and artwork everywhere. The environment I'm in has a large impact on my mood and experience and I have no complaints there. Vibes: I feel like Skyler and I hit it off right away (if you're reading this, I hope it wasn't one-sided). He is such a cool, friendly guy and I felt at ease the entire time. We had comfortable silences, casual conversation and good laughs here and there. He was very accommodating and attentive. I messaged him the day of the appointment if we could start earlier and he happily obliged. His car actually got swiped in the parking lot during the appointment, but he took it like a champ. He took care of it quickly and returned to work with cool composure. I have no complaints about my experience with Skyler. I'm not sure if I could go to another tattoo artist again. Not just for the tattoo quality (which is amazing), but the overall experience. I was on cloud 9 for quite a while after the tattoo and have been fiending for the next session. Also got to meet the owner while his wife (who just finished her apprenticeship, congrats!) tattooed someone else. The owner was working on a sick painting. We chatted a bit and he seemed like a really cool, friendly person. I didn't get to talk to his wife, but her client seemed at ease and happy with her tattoo. If everyone else who works here is the same, then I don't think you'll have any negative experience with customer service. Tattoo: Loving my tattoo so far! We've only gotten about 3 hours in, but it's already looking sick! I love Skyler's style and his attention to detail is amazing! Great lines and shading. Pictures attached speak better than words. Looking forward to getting many more in the future. I had actually planned to do a back tattoo with another artist, but am now possibly losing that deposit to work with Skyler instead. I have so much trust in Skyler that in the future, I'd like for him to go ham on my right leg and freehand whatever he wants. Skyler was efficient and I had very minimal pain. We took maybe one fifteen minute break over the three hours. Overall: Hopefully this helps you decide to come here! 100/10. Coming again and again.“

3. Talking to her feels natural. Not talking to her? Also natural. She's just that easy to be around.
4. I've committed to three tattoos with Blu, which makes this my most successful long-term relationship after my marriage. I joke about leaving my husband for her, but he knows I'm devoted to him… and Blu is a respectable professional, who did say I’d be a great wife in another life (nicely handled).Yet I'm still keeping that in the archives.

“This artist is among the best Japanese style tattoo artists. Great experience, private tattoo shop. I spent 1 year and 2 months getting a full back tattoo and my chest tattoo. My expectations were definitely exceeded. This artist respects the culture and has many, many years of experience. I will definitely be returning for future tattoos. My brother visited from FL for a week, and he wanted to get matching tattoos for his first tattoo. We were walk ins (risky, I know lol) but we called ahead to make sure they had availability, and they did. So we went in and shared the idea of matching studio Ghibli tattoos. Aleks asked about our budget, and we showed her the reference photos. She pulled up an even better picture, then after a short back and forth, she got to drawing.

She was so collaborative and understood how important it was to my brother and me. She did an amazing job on both tattoos. And I was so impressed with her skill level.
