“I got my first tattoo at Ms. Ling's Tattoo Parlour, Shanghai Tattoo. My artist was Mr. Jun Wang, and I have nothing but good things to say about this artist, the finished product, the staff, the shop, and the overall experience.
I'm a very deliberate person regarding putting a permanent piece of artwork on my body, and the shop really shined for me as a first timer. They answered all my questions, explained what the process would be, the cost, the details of the room, the pain to be expected, and the steps. The staff set up a consultation appointment, and we ironed out a final design. The artist (Mr. Wang) then worked on the concept art and designed a great looking finished concept- it made the original artwork really shine.
The chair was comfy, the room was clean and he was very meticulous about his inks and the overall sanitary state of the room and his tools. Mr. Wang really takes his craft seriously. He also accommodated my snacks, and let me bring my own pillow in. We took a few breaks, and he always checked back in. The phases went perfectly, and my tattoo product itself exceeded my expectations greatly for quality, detail, cleanliness of lines, and shading techniques. I followed the post-tattoo instructions the best I could and did not have any complications except a couple pesky ingrown hairs. Ms Ting even offered her personal cell number so I could check in in case I had any complications. The second skin was great, I cannot recommend that enough, and my tattoo healed fine.
Overall a score of 5 out of 5 for my first tattoo, and I will absolutely be returning for more art in the future! If you're a first timer, or looking for the politest most humble and professional artist there is, I highly recommend commissioning Mr. Wang.”

“Drove almost 2 hours but was super worth it. Cody did an AMAZING job I can’t stop staring at my arm. I gave him 0 direction besides canine adjacent and I like some of these animes and he whipped up a gorgeous piece that compliments my other work. The shop energy was so fun we had great conversation with the other artist and person being worked on and the music was peak emo nostalgia.
Cody should charge more for his work… his prices are insanely affordable for his talent and he was such a cool down to earth guy. He is extremely light handed and while my pain tolerance is high this tattoo was hardly noticeable (and felt good but we don’t need to unpack all of that). If you’re worried about pain and that’s stopping you from getting a tattoo you should check Cody out.
Definitely going back to get the other arm done by him. As a visibly queer man I’m always nervous walking into new tattoo shops because they often feel suffocatingly toxic masculinity vibes but they were super open and friendly at kinetic ink. Don’t have enough kind things to say about them.”
