Revelry Barber and Salon

Referred to Revelry by watching a video created by Queer Compass, which featured the shop, showing the vibe of the shop, which I was drawn to right away. I’ve been looking for a place to get my hair cut for months because my hair being long and thick, I wanted to get a short pixie cut. I had made 2 different appointments at other shops but canceled because I chickened out. So, after watching that featured video about Revelry by Queer Compass, I made an appointment right away - it felt right! I met with Ashley for a hair cut and style. She’d did a phenomenal job! I’m very happy with the results. I also found Ashley to be a friendly and a professional stylist, easy to talk with. She listened to what I wanted. She even offered if I wanted her to use scissors, razor, clippers? No stylist has ever asked me that! Refreshing! Bonus: I got to cuddle with her fur kid! <3.

I highly recommend Revelry and Ashley. Five stars!

This was my first time to Rev, and working with Marina. Booking was super easy, with text reminders of the appointment. The space is awesome; clean, interesting art, a welcoming vibe. There were two small dogs present who were both really chill and friendly. The other stylists were also friendly.

Marina was AWESOME. I went in knowing a bit about what I wanted, but didn't have a lot of language for it, and was unsure about how some changes in texture might change what was doable. Marina asked helpful questions, told me exactly what she was going to do, was super friendly and professional, and gave me a cut I absolutely love. I will absolutely be going back to her for future hair needs. I have wavy/curly hair, so can only speak to my own hair type, but if thats you, she will absolutely do right by you and your hair.

I highly recommend Daniel at Revelry. I've had two haircuts now with him, and they are far superior to any other I've had in years. I used to get my hair cut at Sassoon in San Francisco so my expectations are rather high. Daniel also works in San Francisco but you will pay much more for his hair cuts over there. What a find in Sacramento!

I’ve known Marina for about 20 years — we were friends back when we both lived in San Francisco, and now we’ve both landed in Sacramento! I’m so happy she’s a cosmetologist now because she’s absolutely amazing at what she does.

I go to her every two weeks for a haircut, and she always gets it just right — quick, professional, and exactly what I want every time. She’s easy to talk to, has a great personality, and makes the whole experience enjoyable.

If you’re looking for a skilled stylist who really listens and delivers, I definitely recommend seeing Marina at Revelry Barber Salon. You’ll walk out looking (and feeling) great!

I have a new favorite hair salon! Awesome place, beautiful and comfortable, super nice people with swell taste in music. Cela, who worked her magic and sweet funky on my wrecked hair, was perfection! I cannot recommend Revelry (and Cela) enough!

I’ve been coming to this barber shop for a long time, and today I had the pleasure of sitting down with Maxwell for the first time. Right from the start, he made it easy to explain what I wanted and he absolutely nailed it! The cut came out perfect, exactly what I had in mind.
Maxwell was incredibly cordial and kept the conversation flowing naturally, making the visit relaxing and enjoyable. It’s clear Maxwell takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about his clients.

Amazing experience with Jill here @ Revelry! I've been to other top rated salons for a mens haircut in the area and in Washington. She's top tier; incredible attention to detail and takes notes so everything is consistent or better after the first visit!

Richard killed it! My daughter trusted him right away--and that says a lot, she is usually very shy. He's personable, professional, and truly pays attention to detail. As a barber myself who works with hair every day, I'm very picky about who cuts our hair. Richard exceeded all expectations! The shampoo, cut, and blowout were worth every penny! He was patient, kind, listened closely, and absolutely nailed the soft A-line bob she . We'll definitely be back!

I checked online before going in and saw that there was availablity today. Their website said that they allow walk-ins, so I decided to show up and see if someone was free. Richard was able to do my cut and he did such an amazing job! Very friendly, enthusiastic, and my haircut turned out great! We talked movies the whole time! One of my better salon experiences!

This is where I've been getting haircuts/shaves for the past year...maybe even longer than that now? I keep thinking I've reviewed Revelry already, but I guess I haven't oops. Anyway, I see Marina and she is awesome. I highly recommend her. Revelry also does walk-ins and everyone is friendly. My former hairdresser retired from the hair business a few years back, and it took me awhile to get around to finding another place to go get my mane dealt with. I was looking for a queer friendly place, most importantly, but I was also looking for someone who is good with curly/wavy hair types like mine, and someone who is both a stylist and barber so I can finally wear my hair in more gender affirming ways. All of this is what brought me to Revelry, and I've been very happy with my services from them. Marina uses the Vagaro app, and that has taken some getting used to but it is soooo convenient to be able to just go in there and schedule a day and time that works for me. She does weekday evenings so I can come in after work too! I usually get either a shave or a shave and a layered cut for the half of my head with longer hair. Maybe thinking of changing up my look soon, but I also love wearing my hair this way. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and professionalism. I can't recommend Revelry highly enough.
