“I got married in New York City this past May and my wedding party and I loved, loved, loved the wonderful person who did our hair and makeup that day. We loved her so much, my matron of honor considered flying her out to do our hair and makeup for the reception we were having in California later that year. (Then the reality of the cost set in.) Luckily, I found MM Beauty! After reading some reviews, I submitted an inquiry and had a consult with the owner the following week. I booked them on the spot and it was seamless from that moment forward. MM Beauty provided an online portal where I could view correspondence and payment information. They provided tip sheets and reminders. And they asked for input on what we wanted as far as hair and makeup looks. There was constant communication. Our artists, Vanessa and Nami, came to my house with everything ready to go, and both ladies were professional perfectionists, ensuring me and my gals looked and felt our very best. We are a bunch of middle-aged women; youth was not on our side, but these pros did wonders for us! I'll admit, I was a little nervous wondering if anyone was going to be able to live up to the wonderful artist who did our hair and makeup back in May, but my fear was for not. “I went to Victoria 2 weeks after I got a horrible 600 dollar dye job from a top salon in midtown Sacramento. It was honestly hideous and a whole other yelp review. I had patchy neon red/pink/orange hair. The fade was hideous and I basically had neon puke colored hair. I looked like a faded Ronald McDonald. I reached out to Victoria for a color correction and she got me in 2 days later. It was a miracle, she's normally booked up because she's that good. However, I told her I needed this fixed before a special event in a couple days so she squeezed me in and stayed late into the night fixing my hair. My before and after pictures are below (the darker prettier one being after - obviously). The results speak for themselves. I can't believe what she was able to do for me. She didn't just salvage it, I left a fricking goddess. She also threw in an eyebrow tint for free! I also asked for a cut last minute and she happily did that. I paid less than half what I did at the other salon for cut and color. What also struck me was the amount of knowledge and experience she has. I had a lot of questions about my oily scalp and why my hair doesn't hold a curl and she took the time to educate me and recommended products. She didn't push me to buy anything, we simply just picked things together from Amazon (though she does have products in store at reasonable prices). The atmosphere was amazing. Sarah her assistant is a fabulous barber in her own right. She does an amazing shampoo and head scratch. It was like talking and laughing with two fun girlfriends I've know for a decade. I felt so comfortable. It's safe to say I finally found my stylist. THANK YOU Sarah and Victoria!! I'll be back!“

“Mauri, the owner of the hair salon, is such a sweet lady. She really cares about her clients and wants to get you the look that you are after and will work with you to find a compromise or combination(w/ cut, tools & products) that will work with your hair type! Like if you're me with fine thinning hair but you want this voluptuous hair look she'll tell you that it's really not possible? but then she will work to find a solution that will give you a similar look that is realistically doable. Which I really appreciate rather than being lied to and given a cut that your hair will never pull off? Also she is very up-to-date on the newer products that are better for your hair and scalp(&more eco-friendly)!“

She will give you the best massage of your life! Perfect pressure! She works all my knots out but not in a painful way. So relaxing. I love chit chatting with her and hearing her stories. If you rather have less conversation, I'm sure you could tell her and she would accommodate. If you see another massage therapist at Luxe then that's not my recommendation and at your own risk. Bila especially never misses when it comes to color correction—she knows exactly how to bring damaged or previously processed hair back to life without overpromising. She’s real, she’s honest, and she cares about the integrity of your hair.

One thing I’ve learned as a client: be transparent. Let your stylist know what you’ve used (yes, even that box dye), how often you bleach, and how you treat your hair in-between visits. The more info they have, the better they can work their magic while protecting your strands ?
