I was referred to Laura by the bridal shop that I bought my wedding dress from (Sparkle Bridal Couture). They don’t do in-house alterations, so they gave me a list of suggestions. I did my research into each one and decided to contact Laura based on reviews and her prices seemed reasonable. She was very sweet and eager to get me in for a free consultation, which was in October 2019. Due to COVID, my husband and I postponed our wedding from May 2020 to September 2020. When I contacted Laura to push back my fittings, she was very understanding and accommodating. She works out of her home and she implemented practices that align with CDC recommendations to continue being able to work on dresses, which I totally appreciated. I felt very safe going to her home and masks are worn at all times. Her turn-around times were very quick as well. I finally took my dress to Laura for fitting 1 of 3 in late July 2020. Laura did a lot of alterations to my dress. She did a few major alterations, but also a lot of small detail ones. Besides hemming it and taking it in, she added spaghetti straps and hand-made off-the-shoulder sleeves, which were beautiful! She also added push-up cups since I couldn’t wear a bra. And she added fabric in a V-shape to the back of the dress since it was pretty sheer. Every big and little thing she did made the dress so much more beautiful and comfortable. For what seemed like very costly alterations to me, Laura’s price was extremely reasonable! My mom reached out to Laura about a month before the wedding to have her MOB dress hemmed and Laura was very willing to do that for her, so my mom came with me to my last 2 appointments. Again, price was extremely reasonable! I could go on and on about how wonderful Laura is! She’s a professional, she’s been doing this for a long time, and she’s just the sweetest! Don’t go to big alteration shops; go to Laura (call/text her first). You will not be disappointed!

I have just had my alterations consult with Laura and Im already amazed. I didnt go to any other consults, I felt so confident in her abilities and she is the SWEETEST. I cant wait to see the result of my alterations with Laura!!

I can't thank Laura enough for my wedding gown alterations! I never worried once while my gown was in her care, and I was amazed at her attention to detail and organization. My gown fit me like a glove the day of the wedding and I never had to fuss with it at all despite it being strapless. My bustle and hems were absolutely perfect - I didn't trip over my dress once! Laura is just the sweetest woman and I enjoyed working with her so much!
