Wow! Have you ever had that feeling before when something you imagined and have dreamed of actually came true!? I was crying about the care and dedication this team has shown. Every single day “my crew” has shown up, they have come to my house and home with the upmost respect.
They listened, took care of this project like it was their own backyard.
Ruben is so knowledgeable and patient and is here everyday as well making sure things go as planned and that we are happy! . Gabe is kind, professional and passionate about his crew and so consistently concerned about our happiness
Forget these bad reviews that you saw.. don’t believe a word. This company and the crew have completely flabbergasted me with every aspect of the job. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

We met Gabe at the Sac Home & Garden show in 2022 then met w his landscape designer Eran, who provided the plans to convert our rather large front and side yard from grass to xeriscape. Both were very professional and knowledgeable and delivered exactly what we asked for, which led to using them to redesign our back yard. Today was the final installation of our plants and our entire lot is exactly as we envisioned and we're very happy with the transition. We have received many compliments on our yard and it was recently used in a news bite to showcase the neighborhood.

See prev comment. Felt like it was all about the money. The landscape designer got the money and said he was going to email the design. Still has not been about a month.

I had discover landscaping completely redo my front yard, took out the lawn put in a path and a wall. Low water usage plants. They redid the walkway to the front door. The work was done quickly and looks great. I got most of the plants I paid for. The problem is there is no follow-up, I only saw Gabe when he came by to get checks, he told me he would be by to check on things and adjust the irrigation system when needed. I had 3 plants die, so I called him. He stated if I would pick up the plants from the nursery he would plant them. Haven't seen or heard from him since then and that was a few weeks ago. I felt that as it was within the 90 days he should have taken care of the plants for me. I am used to taking care of things on my own and will take care of my garden but with what I paid him I would think there would be at least one visit from him to check on the garden.

I don't even know where to begin but hope this review finds someone useful if you're considering using them. We met Gabriel at the 2019 Cal Expo and like many other landscapers/contractors we met, we setup an appointment with him. He is nice guy and like another earlier review mentioned, he gets 1 star for being nice which is why we went with them but that is pretty much all I'm comfortable giving. We knock ourselves for not doing proper research and reading other reviews / experiences people had before committing to a contract with Discover Landscape so hope this review helps others well and to think twice before thinking about doing business with them. Our project started 3 weeks later than the scheduled date and Gabriel told us that if we allowed him a few extra weeks to delay start, he could wrap up his existing project and have a crew (including himself to oversee and manage) every day at our house 9am - 4pm until project finish. This definitely wasn't the case and I barely ever saw Gabriel (I work from home too). Our project took almost 3 months to complete because when his crew would show up, they would only work for half a day and then leave to their other project. This was pretty consistent. In fact, I often had to call/txt him asking where his crew was and the only times I ever saw Gabriel personally was when he wanted to get paid for work progress so he would arrive and do a quick walkthrough. He also has a tendency to ask for payment for work that isn't even complete too which isn't cool. Gabriel doesn't really listen nor does he communicate what we asked for back to his crew that he "outsources" work to. When you tell him something, he'll say "Yea ok, that's a great idea. Let me tell my guys... blah blah blah". That's his typical response but 9 times out of 10, it goes in one ear and out the other. We asked for artificial turf for our dog and wanted an automated sprinkler system setup around it to wash it down daily. Because he was never onsite to manage the project and make sure little details like this get communicated down, his crew had no idea they needed to do this. They laid out pavers and irrigation to the point where it was too late to back pedal and correct by the time I checked in with him to ask about it.We were also supposed to have our existing outdoor gas firepit repaired and during contract draft, Gabriel said he was pretty confident he could repair it. When the project finally got to that point, he said that the reason the firepit wasn't working was likely because of the existing gas line not being up to code and not enough pressure. He wanted me to call plumbers (because he himself didn't know of any and his crew won't touch gas line) to have them come out and repair the gas line which I thought was ridiculous and did not do. Do not promise a customer you can fix something, quote that into the contract price, and when it gets out of your expertise, expect the customer to take on the additional cost and time to have it fixed outside of the contract. Gabriel eventually presented us with options to remove the existing gas firepit or convert it to wood burning which obviously was not in the original plan and least preferred but at that point, my wife and I were just tired of working with them and wanted to get the project done.I can keep on writing about the many times I've gotten so frustrated working with this company. Long story short, do your diligence. If you want a contractor that needs to be micro managed all the time, someone who will tell you everything you want to hear but inconsistently deliver, and constantly ask you for money, then go with Discover Landscape!

Horrible. Don't believe anything he says. He'll never get back to you and will leave you high and dry--after taking you money, of course. Don't even want to rate them with one star.
