“First of all; my husband said he never trusts 5 star reviews on yelp. So this is why I'm only giving 4 stars. In case you're a suspicious one like him. Lol Felipe was not just passionate about his work, but was very social & had me laughing throughout the day. Unfortunately for him, it was one of the hottest days of the year here in Salinas but here he is having to replace & install a new furnace. His work was wonderful & clean. Everything on the new furnace was labeled & he tested it out; checking the vents for proper air flow before leaving. We couldn't be happier! I would recommend him hands down. (The dog loved him too which was an added bonus!)“

He did a variety of house repair projects for us, including wood and drywall repair, tile and grout work, and fence repairs. He was very responsive and communicative, worked efficiently for a reasonable price, and we greatly appreciated the care he took to keep our home clean by laying out mats and wearing booties when inside. “I chose AV builders group for my home remodel process. This is our first step of the renovation (demolition and framing) I felt av groups did a perfect job so I want to give a review and will update the process along the step. I interviewed five renovation teams: Eventually, I decided to choose them. They have fair pricing, I'll definitely recommend them to everyone. Choosing a renovation team is truly a big learning process. We are at our first stage of renovation, framing and demolition. We found many things that needed replacing during the teardown process. For example, decayed or termite-damaged wood, old pipes; as well as installing insulation and reinforcing the foundation. Alberto was able to taking care of this for me. Alberto is also handling things like contractor licenses, worker's comp, and permits. He can clearly explain every detail, each steps, how long it will take, and how each part will be done. Most of the time, they take care of everything, so I don't need to go to the site in person. Every day after work, they also spend about half an hour cleaning up the site thoroughly.“

“I used Knowlton Construction after the Loma Prieta earthquake to do some major repair work to my other house. When our upstairs bathroom shower started leaking I searched for contractors and I was surprised Bill was still at it. He submitted a reasonable estimate in a timely manner. We had them upgrade the shower, replace the tile floor, add a vent and electrical outlet for the bidet. Positives: the project turned out very well. The plumbing and tile subcontractors did great work. His lead man, Patrick was competent (although a bit grumpy). Criticisms: Communication on the scheduling could have been much better, it took 5 months for completion, prices on change orders were not give, so I was surprised about some of the charges. It was taking so long, I actually did the finish plumbing, cleaning and touch up myself. I understand this was in the midst of the pandemic and Bill had some health and family issues, but that's a long time without the bathroom.Service: Bathroom remodeling“
