What a wonderful dojo. I have met so many new friends. The teaching I have received is mind blowing. The instructors are very skillful but humble and generous with their knowledge. I would have joined MUCH earlier I had known what an abundance this place offers. Come and check out the dojo! You will not be disappointed.

I have only joined the dojo for about 2 months, and everyone at the dojo is welcoming and friendly. All the Senseis and Sempai are all willing to help you learn.

I’ve been involved in martial arts since an early age, and after returning to it years later, I can honestly say that Aikido, especially as taught at this center, is something truly special.
What stands out to me is the authenticity. Unlike many modern martial arts schools that feel heavily driven by marketing and commercialization, this dojo focuses on the art itself. Even in my earlier experience with Karate, there was some level of commercialization, but nothing like what you often see today. Here, that promotional fluff is completely absent.
The instructors, students, and overall community embody humility, discipline, and quiet confidence. There’s a genuine sense of respect and strength that doesn’t need to be advertised. It is simply present in how everyone trains and carries themselves.
That environment is exactly why I chose this dojo for my daughter. It’s not just about learning techniques. It’s about developing character, confidence, and a grounded sense of self.
I highly recommend the Aikido and Healing Arts Center of Roseville to anyone looking for a martial art rooted in tradition, integrity, and personal growth.

This place is awesome!! Everyone is super helpful and very very nice. I always look forward to the next class. If you are new, you will be getting a lot of help, so do not worry about being behind!! Even if you aren’t new, people will still be helping you, and that goes to show how nice everyone is!! Aikido is the art of peace, and this dojo really shows that.

My kids went here briefly, it was an awesome experience. They know how to work with them and teach them good skills. We only left for a different style of martial art course. We would absolutely recommend this place for anyone interested in aikido.

Aikido and Healing Arts Center of Roseville is a true gem.
I found this dojo in April while going through a difficult divorce. My children and I were searching for a positive, supportive space where we could move, learn, and heal — and we found exactly that here.
From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were warmly welcomed. I was invited to either observe or jump right in. I decided to participate with my 13-year-old son, even though neither of us had any experience. Immediately, upper belts took us under their wings with patience and kindness. Every person we’ve met here is warm, encouraging, and truly invested in helping others grow.
After just one class, my son and I went home and told my daughters about it. My youngest daughter joined soon after, and my older teen, though not a participant, now comes to observe. Her first comment was, “This place has good energy. These people are really nice.” She enjoys spending time there just to feel that energy and connect with the community.
My kids have already made friends with other children in the class, and it’s become something we all look forward to each week.
The one-hour classes are a perfect blend of grounding, learning, movement, mental focus, and fun. The black belts are deeply skilled — they make the art look effortless, beautiful, and flowing. Unlike more physically intense martial arts like BJJ or Muay Thai, Aikido is gentle on the body and joints, which makes it accessible and appealing to a wide range of people.
But what stands out most is the community. It has been incredibly healing for both me and my children. The people here demonstrate humility, compassion, and integrity — qualities that are mirrored in the art of Aikido itself.
Aikido teaches cooperation, redirection, and harmony — not conflict. These principles have been deeply helpful not just on the mat, but in how I approach life off the mat as well.
This dojo is filled with grounded, real, kind, and skilled individuals. I’m beyond grateful to have found this place — it has brought strength, peace, and connection into our lives at a time we needed it most.

I can’t say enough good things about this dojo. Where to start. I was looking for martial arts classes for my son and aikido popped up. I’d heard of it before but didn’t know anything about it. The teachers here are fabulous with kids. My son loves it and he asks me almost everyday when he’ll get to go to aikido class. Kids classes are right next to the adult class, so it’s perfect if I want to jump into the adult class while my son does his class. The dojo is beautiful and feels very authentic. Oh my gosh, ever since I started going I’ve been hooked. Everyone is so nice and the teachers make us feel so welcome. Drop in on a class and see if it’s for you.
