Glady's Tailoring & Alterations

My wife and I have been going to Glady's for over 20 years. The original owner is no longer there and it's changed hands a couple of times. The reason for the 3 stars is the customer service and now, the price. I don't remember the owner's name but she does know what she's doing. The problem is, she doesn't have a filter of any kind. She's very comfortable with telling you how fat you are and that you've gained or lost weight. If this was a one time deal, ok, but almost every time we go in?! I'm not someone who is grossly overweight either so going in to get pants hemmed and being told, " you fatter now" is less than ideal. I kept going despite this because of her knowledge but the last time we went in, she did not do what I asked for and the price was very expensive. I had to point out that she wrote down what I asked but made a mistake. She was not pleased as she had to redo several pants. I've managed to find another tailor that seems happy for my business and their prices are more in line with what they should be.

Anna, the owner of Gladys Alterations is hands down the best tailor, dress maker I have ever experienced. She has remade dresses, suits, repaired items that would otherwise have to be discarded. Her prices are fair and frankly for the expertise she has, she should charge more.

Glady's has been doing alternations for our family for fifteen years. Equestrian jackets, prom dresses, swimsuits, gowns, hemming, lining, etc... Everything they do is excellent in terms of fit, durability, appearance, and color matching. We had our first family wedding and they did the bridal gown, maid-of-honor, and mother-of-the-bride dresses. As usual, everything was perfect! Can't recommend highly enough!
