I was on my way to Joshua Tree, and on a stop in Riverside, I decided to pop into LA Fitness since I have a membership in Los Angeles. The moment I walked in, I was blown away by how welcoming the staff was especially CJ at the front desk. He was so kind and helpful, getting me set up and even giving me awesome advice on nearby coffee shops. I had such a great experience, and I’m really grateful for his attention and positivity. If you’re ever in the Riverside area, definitely stop by this location!
I’ve been coming here for years and have no complaints. The staff is friendly and the restroom and gym is always clean. Recently, I inquired about a Pilates class, and Julie Brisson reached out to me. She’s friendly, upbeat and professional. She has been very accommodating with my schedule and having to make some last minute changes. Thanks Julie for your amazing customer service.
The gym itself is solid, it covers all the basics you really can't complain if you're looking for a comfortable place to workout. That said, most of the equipment is dated and when compared to gyms like EŌS the only real advantage it has is how much emptier it usually is than EŌS. They charge way too much for what they actually have on offer. Ultimately, the price is what holds this chain back. Weights are usually scattered. Bathrooms and locker rooms are hit or miss for cleanliness across this chain generally as well. I say all of this as a long time member who goes to other gyms with buddy passes sometimes.
