1425 W H St #200, Oakdale“Dr Cook has been our family physician for many years. Treating myself, brother and both now elderly parents. He is extremely knowledgeable and genuinely cares about his patients wellbeing. Listens to all your concerns, never rushes you. Gives you his full attention during your visit.“
“Dr. Elsaker is definitely the go to doctor for any and all G.I. Issues. He is knowledgeable and very caring. His staff is attentive and very professional too.“
“New patient for 2010. So far so good. Am impressed with Dr. Lam. He listens, appears to take patient reported symtoms and observations seriously, and seems compassionate, and knowledgeable. Am impressed that Dr. Stanton and Dr. Lam are making sure they "culture" prior to prescribing, especially because it was years of other Doctor's / other practices past cavalier prescribing inappropriate Rx with very devastating adverse reactions to CIPRO, LEVAQUIN & AVELOX. I sense a seriousness of integrity, and gentleness at this practice not found elsewhere in Modesto. I very much appreciate that. God knows all the chronic pain was caused by former Drs. at other practices, inappropriate prescriptions, so these Providence doctors cautious, interested, curious approach works for me. They were also willing to look up and give me list of alternative care: acupuncturists and orthopedics that other Primary Cares could not be bothered with & dismissed. Granted my insurance doesn't pay for the acupuncure and orthodics, but these treatments have been non invasive approaches to try to alieviate the pain and regain my health. Only a month of the alternative approaches, too early to tell, but significant improvement afer 9 years of chronic pain due to adverse reacions to CIPRO, Levaquin and Avelox, prescribed by previous Primary Care Drs. I hope to continue my confidence in the care at Providence.“

The whole process, from front desk, to Doctor and now on to immunotherapy shots has been pleasant. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and patient oriented. Kudos to everyone associated with this office.“

3125 Conant Ave, Modesto“Most of the negative reviews seem to be for other offices within FCPP and not with Dr. Lam or DePaz located on Conant. Dr DePaz and the entire staff at the family practice office at this address are amazing! I drive 1.5 hours to see Dr DePaz and will continue to do so because I am that confident in the care I receive here.“
“Valley heart saved my life in 2013 triple bypass. Dr McMillan and Dr Khan who is no longer there did a excellent job. The only thing I see the wait lounge is over packed and noisy. And I say this not in a negative way but with heart patients require a non stressful environment due hypertension issues..“
“After my poor experience in Merced location. I gave this Modesto location 5 stars because the receptionist acknowledged you and make you feel welcome.“
“I have to compliment Monica in your office. She went BEYOND to help me get an appointment for my husband. We are a new patient and she needed to make sure all our insurance Information was correct, and that we were eligible. It was a challenge, not because of her actions, but because our Insurance is alittle difficult to understand. Monica made the appropriate phone calls and returned my calls when she said she would. I'm very confident our interaction with our new Dr. will go just as well! THANK YOU, MONICA...You represent well!“

401 Paradise Rd # E, Modesto“I am transgender, and I have ADHD. When I first started going to PMO in 2020 I had recently been fired from a job due to coming out as trans, so I had lost my private insurance and also lost access to my psychiatrist who I was receiving my ADHD medication through. I heard about PMO because there had been information circulating about the Trans health services that they started providing, so I decided to check it out. It was the best decision I have ever made for my healthcare, because they not only prescribed me topical HRT the day that I went through informed consent (my second appointment), but they also referred me to UCSF for speech therapy when I expressed feeling dysphoric about my voice. I never felt like my experiences were being looked down on, and when I expressed that I was struggling due to losing my medication to treat my ADHD, I was also referred to the psychiatrist who operates out of PMO. During that diagnostic interview with the psych at PMO I realized how shitty my experience with my private psych had been, because the psych at PMO was genuinely listening to me and didn't express any doubt but rather asked questions in a neutral way to get a good idea of my symptoms. I'm really surprised that people will rate a clinic as wonderful as PMO with a 1 star just because they have to wait for their appointment. This clinic is staffed with the *BEST* doctors I have *EVER* had in my entire life. At PMO my health needs and concerns were immediately validated, and there were no arbitrary hoops that I had to jump through just to be diagnosed with something I've had for my entire life. I was approved and referred for surgery (not trans related) on my very first visit, when in the past before losing my main source of income and private insurance I would have to fight tooth and nail to even get a referral. Yes, you will have to wait for your appointment, even if you show up early. Bring a book because it really shouldn't matter to you if you're getting care from a staff that is full of residents from UC Davis, and who also refer you to get the healthcare services you need *immediately* and won't roll their eyes at you when you describe your lived reality. The people who complain about waiting have a lot of privilege they need to reflect on, because waiting to get top notch care really shouldn't be the reason why you would rate a clinic with 1 or 2 stars; quit being a Karen and realize that getting good healthcare will either cost a shit ton of money, or you might have to wait a bit. Personally, I'd rather wait a bit for a clinic I *know* has great doctors, than be in a clinic that treats every patient like they're liars. (Also you don't go to a clinic for the front desk, you go for the doctors. Who cares if they aren't kissing your ass like starbucks employees? You're not there for customer service, you're there for health care.) (Also PA's can't legally sign DMEs and PPEs have to be selected by the patient.) (THIS IS WHAT A ZERO/ONE STAR EXPERIENCE LOOKS LIKE!) Because I was so spoiled with PMO, when I moved to San Joaquin county I thought the experience should be roughly the same. This couldn't have been further from the truth. Not only was I told by my PCP in SJ county that she was "uncomfortable diagnosing me" with anything I had already had diagnoses for (even my gender dysphoria!), but she basically prepared me for the awful experience I was due to have at the SJ County Behavioral Health Services. She essentially told me that I would be initially denied for services on the basis that my PCP should be the one to treat me, but she said I needed to tell them that my PCP was "uncomfortable treating me" in order for them to allow me access to care. (Think Mr. Incredible telling the old lady how to jump through all the hoops the ins company he worked for just so she could get the money she was owed.) Sadly, this was exactly the case, and my entire experience with SJCBHS was one of fighting just to even be seen as having“

600 Coffee Rd, Modesto“I have been with Sutter Gould for 30 years, and I am so very pleased with their service. I can't say enough good about Dr. Tanaka for my asthma and Dr. Knobel for my primary care...they are the best. They both have taken the time to get to know me which really helps in the care I receive. I have also had both knees replaced, and have seen other specialists. These doctors are the best, and they always have your health in mind. Keep up the great work.“
“I needed the gift shop but they didn't open until noon. The bathrooms are clean, I came to visit a church member. The care she's getting is good thus far from what could see. -The staff are great and very nice they told us we had to wait until he was done cleaning her and dressing her IV. The water pressure is not strong in the public restrooms.“

“I have been going to Cornerstone Family practice for 24 years. I always get the best treatment from the doctors here and will continue to keep going here.“
“Outpatient surgery care was good. Everybody was kind and the anesthesiology and surgeon Doctors swung by to explain everything. Everybody was understanding and concerning.“
“So, 8 years out from Neal's death, I'm providing a review. Neal was in ICU for like 5 days. Tons of people showed up to support us. Medical staff let us hang out with him in his room. There were like 20 of us standing around Neal, singing worship songs, which oddly made his heart rate decrease. Clearly, he knew we were there praying for his healing as we wanted him to remain in our lives. Neal's nephew, Cameron, showed up with Bay leaves to place on his forehead. Neal loved the Bay tree. Had one planted on the back 40 which didn't survive, thank you flood of 2017. I am thankful Cameron griffin remembered that and brought some leaves for Neal. I still have them. The managing nurse visited me to ensure everything was in place. The managing nurse happened to be a former friend of Neal's and an employee of Modesto City Schools. How does that happen? How does someone have the energy to be both a nursing teacher with MCS and an employee of Memorial Hospital? I'm really blown away.“
