This is a delayed review but I thought I should still share since it was the worst experience. I suddenly was in pain in my abdomen. On the way to hospital I said oh no we waited too long to leave as I could barely even stand this car ride. Once there I was writhing in pain in the waiting room. I could not sit in one spot and was moving all around moaning and crying out for help. I begged for them to please hurry. I vomited in the waiting room bathroom several times because of the pain. They asked me for a urine sample and I tried several times and no urine would pass. So they decided to make me wait longer because of this. They triaged me and sent back out to the waiting room to suffer. At this point it had nearly been 4 hours of me crying for help. They made me do a blood draw because I couldn't urinate and they were 100 percent treating me with disdain like I had ulterior motives which is the most insulting, infuriating, inhumane, experience. The woman doing the blood draw yelled at me sit still even though she knew I was in so much pain that I could not stay still. At this point an angry older red haired nurse marched up to me with her index finger pointing at me and YELLED at me to SHUT UP and I told her I am sorry but I am in the worst pain of my life and it was impossible for me to stay quiet. She growled at me and indignantly stated that there are sicker people than me in the ER. As if that would take MY pain away. I also didn't hear anyone else crying and yelling out in pain my whole 4 hours of waiting. She huffed off and left me there to suffer in the most blatantly cruel display. I waited in this area a little longer and saw an older tall male patient walking towards the door angrily ripping medical tubes and wires off of himself as a nurse chasing after him telling him to come back. He yelled "I'm out of here!!!" I went back out into the waiting room and found my husband who was not allowed in because of Covid. I told him I have to go to another hospital and we need to call me an ambulance. We went out to the parking lot and called an ambulance from there and told them where to find us in the parking lot. The paramedics were very worried and empathetic but told me that all the other hospitals were full due to Covid and I might be waiting even longer! They said it was best to wait it out were I was since I already had been waiting and they went into the lobby with me and talked to the receptionists. The security guard at the hospital was very worried watching all of this go down as he was the only person working there that seemed to be able to see that I was in pain and what was happening there was not right. I told the paramedics about the disregard from the red haired nurse and they were aghast. And what do you know, shortly after the paramedics came in things started to slowly happen. They finally took me back to a room. I screamed and cried alone in the room as they still wouldn't allow my husband to be with me but at least I didn't have everyone starring at me anymore. I could hear the doctor outside of my door saying "She seems to be in a lot of pain." Oh you think? A kind nurse came in to finally get me some pain meds going. I was still having trouble sitting still but she wasn't mean to me about it like the other nurses were. I told her sorry I was moving around and she told me it was ok and she told me she didn't want to see me in pain like that anymore. A man came in to take me to my CT scan. I told him that contrast makes me sick and asked him if it was ok to do the scan without contrast. He said no and that it won't make me vomit. He did the scan and was wheeling me back to the room and I told him I was going to vomit and he told me to wait as if I had a choice. I sat up and leaned over the side of the gurney and threw up on the floor. He sighed in annoyance and wheeled me back to the room. Another nurse came in to ask questions about my medical history. And then finally some time later the doctor came in and told me I had a lodged kidney

You need more medical doctors (they make the big decisions and run the entire hospital visit experience) ... Nobody else is higher up on the totem pole. If that happens, then you have faster, friendlier service and happier patients. My recent visit, well, I walked back out the door entrance and drove away after the talking with the admission office assistant who attended the entrance window. They got a big unfriendly front if you need medical help now. It ain't happening. You gotta wait perhaps hours before you get to talk to a nurse or a PA. It's not good. Unfortunate for many.

Emergency room visit for a non-emergent situation on a Saturday morning. Does that mean they can sit me in a tiny room for hours without even acknowledging me? I spent two and a half hours sitting in that little room for something they could have taken care of in five minutes and they didn't even acknowledge me until I went into the hallway and started making some noise about it. After I raised a little hell they finally took care of me. I was taken care of by a male nurse who was incredibly rude, even called me a "knucklehead". This was a really awful experience for a patient needing some minor assistance.
