I am 72 years old and I have been with Kaiser for a few decades and I am not going anywhere else.

AVOID if you need imaging with contrast. The technician was incompetent. He had to stick me three times; the first didn't work, he blew out my vein on the second stick, and on the third stick, he injected the contrast into my *skin* instead of my vein. He proceeded to tell me that I need another round of contrast, which I declined. He then proceeded to blame me for the problems. I had to go to Emergency to make sure the contrast wasn't going to poison me.

Very short wait to see Dr. Lin. She was pleasant, professional, explained what she was doing, reviewed my medications, etc. all good.

there are no signafiers to show who is a doctor and who isn't. they have a bunch of nurses claiming to be doctors and your wonder why your records don't match anything being said

After living for quite a while with acid reflux, I started to worry if there was something more serious going on, or if the reflux was causing damage to my esophagus. I am so happy I was referred to Dr. Valadao for first an endoscopy, followed by a chest CT. Her thorough examinations and detailed explanations really put me at ease. I highly recommend Dr. Valadao and her amazing staff! My experience with both tests were truly 10 out of 10 stars!

(This is a long review - Kaiser Richmond - Surgery Department - Edward RN - PACU - Post Anastasia Care Unit)

I am writing this review specifically for the care I received in the Surgery Department at Kaiser in Richmond.

I got very thorough care from Dr. Baggs and his team. I want to specifically mention the great care I received from the Registered Nurses (RN) Edward and Julia.

I initially received care from the nurse Brian B. He was horrible! He was only concerned about getting me out of the bed and go home. He did not care, nor listen to my pain levels or concerns. If you get him, please ask for another nurse, he is dangerous and truly sucks.

On the other hand, RN Edward was patient, professional, and knowledgeable. Edward overheard my cries, pain and despair, which I was experiencing, under the care of Brian B.

Edward took over and he listened to me and was able to stabilize my pain levels and get me to a space where I felt safe to go home. He read my chart, listened to my pain, gave me assistance in moving, suggested things to do to lessen my pain. He was so patient, which I needed to be able to allow the pain medicine to kick in. Prior to him taking over I was in tears, level 12 pain, hyperventilating due to pain, under the care of Brian. Once Edward took over, he took my vitals, gave me a better combination of pain medicine, allowed me to rest for a minute, helped me get up, helped me walk around, and explained what is normal and abnormal pain. He cared about me and my health and safety. He explained all my home care release instructions. It shows he loves his job and is an angel of healing. Also, Julia was also helping. She helped me in the restroom, adjusting my heating pads, and assisted Edward with moving me around and walking. They were my blessing. I highly recommend you ask for them if you have surgery in the Richmond hospital.

I was treated with care and thoughtfulness by everyone: the nurses who prepped, the staff assisting the Dr. and Dr Assid. I felt confident that things were done well and glad to get results right away.
