I am Chinese. Two months ago, I ran into a problem with my mobile phone—an older Huawei model. I visited several Chinese phone repair shops, but the owners invariably told me the device was beyond repair and advised me to simply throw it away. Furthermore, they would quote exorbitant prices—and this was *before* they had even diagnosed the actual issue, as they demanded an upfront repair fee just to take a look! My phone contained a wealth of contact information, as well as access to my stock trading account—an account I had funded using a loan.
