He's a nice guy and had a lot of good suggestions about details to make our home reno look high end (e.g. screwless electrical outlet plates), but overall we had a very poor experience and would not use Dean again. Dean did a good job on retiling our fireplace at our old home. When we bought a new house and planned a big remodel including fireplace, backsplash, counters, wood floors and painting Dean said he could do it and provided a competitive quote. It was a big job and he's a young guy, so we weren't sure we should trust him with the entire project but he assured us he'd done big remodels before. BEWARE of this contractor. I hired Dean for several projects that were supposed to take 4-6 weeks. 3 months later, every project is only 70% completed and paid for in full (to "keep the project moving") and he stops responding. Does not return my calls, texts or the calls of another contractor who had initially recommended him. I'm stuck with an incomplete and almost unlivable house and have to find vendors to finish the flooring, wood work, stucco, electrical, door/window installation, drywall and paint. Since working with the other vendors, I've come to realize what poor quality workmanship was initially done by D-Lux Construction. Save yourself... read full review

Dean's company installed trim around my staircase and door trim. They also installed a closet and 2 prehung doors and a lot of shutters. The price was reasonable. Dean is very personable. The work was as expected.
