The Spa at Terranea

We had the best ever family business and play weekend. The accommodations were spacious and well-appointed. The food was amazing. It's a very child-friendly venue. But, if you should prefer a quieter option, the whole resort is set up for all types of visitors. We were never impacted negatively by unwanted noise. When we left our hearing aids behind, Andrew at security very graciously handled our concern and got our missing device mailed to us promptly. Thanks to all of the wonderful people there who made our working vacation an ideal experience.

I enjoyed my first stay here, but during the holidays I wouldn’t stay here again. Upon arrival, valet was packed and it sent the staff into a panic where they rushed us to park off to the side. They were extremely rude to the guy working the main entrance over the walkie talkie. We were provided a view upgrade, but the room had a huge hairball on the balcony and trash above the fridge. We called to request the room be cleaned again, but whoever came only took care of the hairball and left the trash and food above the fridge. They took the tip and left the room dirty, despite leaving a note about what needed attention. The towels were scarce as well. My mother’s room had a huge stain on the carpet by the closet.

Catalina Kitchen’s buffet was amazing, but the restaurant on the opposite side left much to be desired. The cocktails sounded more appealing than they were, and the hostesses had nasty attitudes that didn’t make us feel welcome. The gingerbread lounge concept was nice, but maybe add additional locations on the property so that the lobby lounge is not a nightmare. The staff were kind, but service was SLOW. When leaving, I went to get coffee in our room and found a lipstick stain on my coffee cup. It was gross. I brought it up to the front desk upon checking out and she waived the gingerbread lounge visit, but overall the quality of the stay was nothing like our first stay. The first visit there were L’Occitane welcome kits in the bathroom and ample bubble bath to actually unwind and create a relaxing atmosphere. Now the shampoo and conditioner are locked up, rooms are dirty and the service is subpar. I was disappointed for how much I spent on this trip. The holiday packages were not really a good value considering I still paid out of pocket for things that were supposed to be a part of the Joy package.

Beautiful views, but cost cuts were felt this time around. The service was nowhere near what it was previously.

Just finished 4 days here at Casita 24 celebrating a few birthdays and our annual girls’s trip. We were treated like queens. The staff was so accommodating; above and beyond to make sure we had the best time.

The resort is beautiful and clean. The food is amazing. The lobby bar and love bar added a great ending to each night. Will definitely be back for a couples trip. Thank you!
