I am going to mirror what another customer wrote, they should absolutely revise their $300 "intake" fee. I also use healthy paws, and even an appointment with a cardiologist at UCD is less expensive than for this ARC exam. They should consider itemizing it to allow for some insurance reimbursement.

My 13+ year old retriever Simon just had an initial evaluation visit with Dr. Scheblein. The exam was very comprehensive and Dr. Scheblein was able to explain what was going on with Simon's mobility. Went home with recommendations for pain supplements and a home exercise program (essentially physical therapy). The entire appointment lasted about 2 hours. I am very happy with the service we received and we will be scheduling a follow-up in about 8 weeks.

I couldn't be more pleased with the experience at ARC. We brought out miniature Dachshund there for some additional rehab sessions after 2 back surgeries. Everyone from the front office to the techs and the vets were wonderful. Very caring and professional and helpful with ideas for us to do at home. Our dog enjoyed the underwater treadmill as well as the chiropractic sessions and it definitely helped him maintain and improve his skills which is important as he ages. I would recommend them to anyone who is thinking about PT for their pet.

My dog has experienced miraculous results from ARC! I am so impressed by the practitioners & staff, they truly care about us & it shows. My dog loves it, in fact, she starts getting excited as soon as we pull into the parking lot! Once we go inside, she's beside herself with excitement & she's greeted with such enthusiasm and caring energy. Dr. Leslie is fantastic, full of great ideas for improving progress for our pup. I can't recommend ARC enough!

I have taken 2 dogs to ARC for treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and have been extremely impressed with the professional competence, attitude, and animal handling skills of the entire staff. It is clear they know their stuff! You are welcomed into the treatment areas with your pet, where you observe them caring for your pet with compassion and skill. They use positive methods to get the dogs to tolerate treatment - such as distraction with treats and attention and petting, and gentle handling. Both my dogs not only allowed them to do what was necessary, but actually remember ARC so fondly that whenever we pass the entry door going to dog training classes nearby they get excited and ask me to to stop and visit the staff at ARC. If I have time I do- and the staff always welcomes them with hugs. My dogs responded well to their treatments, which included chiropractic, acupuncture, laser therapy, water treadmill, and PT. I was also impressed with the thoroughness of their examinations and the explanations they gave me so I could understand what they were doing and why. They also made suggestions for home care to prevent further problems. I now understand my dogs physical issues and greatly appreciate the results achieved at ARC. One of my dogs is a service dog who works all the time, so having her in good health and physical condition is very important. I saw the review about confusion in billing. The cost was explained to me at the beginning, and since my dog would need more than one visit they offered a couple of plans for discounted visits which I chose to purchase. My pet insurance does not cover this type of service. I paid for the first consultation and the discounted services after that and felt the cost was reasonable considering the skill of the vet and other staff members and the results for my pets.

At the first evaluation, my dog was thoroughly evaluated by Dr Scheiben. I liked that she explained things to me and I could see where the issues were. I was shown exercises and sent a detailed email for use at home. I opted for a package plan of 5 hydro treadmill treatments. I liked that there are several other treatment options available.We have completed 3 hydro treatments and my dog loves it! We have been working daily on the exercises.Every person who works here is so kind and loving towards my pet.I would definitely recommend to others whose pets need care

Charlie loves the staff at ARC and happily enters the building to greet them before his appointment. He leaves even happier after his therapy, whether physical, chiropractic or laser ready for the next week. Dr. Putt tailors his treatment to address any challenges he had the previous week and his current condition while working towards the goal of getting him back in his agility classes.We are very happy to see him getting back to his old self and with the way everyone makes him feel special when he's there.
