I was a past patient of Dr. Algar since 2021. I scheduled an appointment 3 months ago for a fairly urgent problem. I was informed 2 days prior to the appointment that their office cancelled my appointment because the appointment was scheduled as a follow up when I should have been scheduled as a new patient because it had been over 3 years since my last appointment. I live in Las Vegas and flew out to California specifically for this appointment that I had waited 3 months for. Their office said there is nothing they could do and scheduled me in November (another 5 months out). They said they would put me on a cancellation list for an urgent appointment which is worthless...read full review

Dr. Algar is fantastic neurologist! I have had many visits with him over the past 1 1/2 years and each time he spends a lot of time with me. I like the fact that his appointments are not a quick 15 minutes and that you get to really talk and go over issues in a longer span of time (usually 45 minutes). He is a great listener and is also willing to try different methods or medications to help my symptoms. In between visits, he is always quick to respond to questions or issues I may be having as well. Thank you Dr. Algar for being a such a wonderful & caring doctor!
