A shout out to Ruben. I had damaged, dead, and frizzy hair. I am immune-compromised with asthma and was scared to get my hair done. When I spoke to Ruben on the phone, he assured me he took all the COVID-19 precautions to protect his clients and himself. Ruben took me in as a single client with no one else in the salon. I drove 1.5 hours to Pasadena to avoid the crowds of people in Orange County not wearing masks. When I arrived, Ruben took all the COVID-19 precautions and worked on my hair. He cut, colored, and processed the Brazilian Blowout; blow-dried my hair, and gave me homework to maintain my hair at home. When he finished, I put my glasses back on.
