I am so glad I randomly stumbled on this salon. I needed something new to make myself feel zhuzhed up for a wedding, and as a busy working mom I simply can't make a hair appointment 6 months in advance like many of the salons here require. Marissa had availability and the rest is history. She even cut my 3 yo daughter's hair one appointment, which is a miracle as she never lets anyone near her hair. She's the sweetest and such a pro, very communicative and takes feedback. Such a rarity to see a business owned by a young woman in such a sleepy part of Palo Alto. I hope we can all support her and keep her in business!

If I could give 10 stars for social solan in palo alto I would! Marissa is so sweet, and cares about your hair health. Before I started seeing marissa my hair had suffered a lot of breakage, and uneven bleach tones, marissa helped me come up with a plan to allow my hair to significantly grow, and maintain a beautiful creamy blonde tone all throughout my hair. I also can't get over the blending skills, I wear hybrid extensions currently, and I've usually wear wefts, and K- Tips around my crown, marissa was able to take my natural 14 inch hair all the way down to 22 inch hair after my extension install, and there is literally no visibility between my hair, and the extensions....read full review

Always an amazing experience getting my haircut by Michelle! She is absolutely fantastic and takes so much time and care making sure your haircut is perfect and exactly how you want it. I cannot recommend Michelle and the Social Salon enough! Great experience. Very clean, airy, and bright inside the salon!
