    Jasmine single handedly made an experience that is usually terrifying for me so relaxed and easy. As someone lower income with prior health issues dental work is not something I can easily afford or make the time for. Jasmine walked through not only their schedule step by step to carefully plan out my procedures but also thoroughly explained every quote saying what needed to be done and the best ways for me to be able to afford and finance them. She utilized my insurance in every way she could and made sure I got the care I needed. Very thankful for her kind demeanor and help ! Thank you jasmine!

    I had a very disappointing experience at Modern Dentistry in Palm Springs. I felt there was aggressive upselling, especially regarding an expensive periodontal deep cleaning, that I did not feel I could afford at the time, and which I had not scheduled the appointment for. The cost for the treatment was over $1000. When I declined the additional treatment, the dentist then refused to perform the routine cleaning, I had originally scheduled for that was covered by my insurance. After arguing back-and-forth for a bit, she said I could see you’re upset, so I will see if there is a hygienist who has the time and can give you your routine cleaning. Finally, a hygienist walked in, and I asked are you here to do the routine cleaning, and she said yes. She performed the cleaning for approximately 10 minutes and then left. It felt like my teeth had never been cleaned. The entire experience left me uncomfortable and distrustful. Later, I noted that many patients wrote scathing reviews of Dr. Le’s behavior on Yelp and other platforms. Almost all of the reviews mentioned the aggressive upsell to more expensive procedures, specifically the periodontal deep cleaning she demanded, and her refusal to perform the routine prophylaxis treatment that was scheduled. I plan on filing a complaint with my insurance company about this “approved” provider. I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to costly dental work here.

    Believes the person who cleaned my teeth might’ve damaged, my left lateral incisor.

    Other than that, I was very happy with everyone being very pleasant and
    communicating very well.

    I have been a patient of Dr Le for nine years and have only ever had pleasant experiences, even considering this is a dental practice I’m talking about. Everyone in the practice is knowledgeable, friendly and kind. I have gotten routine cleaning, dental devices, and had a crown and find Dr. Le to be the best dentist around. She is a genuinely kind and caring provider

    Calling them a scam is too harsh, but they operate in the gray zone where clinical judgment and revenue incentives overlap.

    In my visit, I had mostly 3–4 mm gum pockets with a few 5 mm readings, which is a borderline case by most standards. Despite that, I was immediately steered toward a multi-visit scaling and root planing plan (plus aggressive push to an optional laser treatment as a clear upsell), and told a regular cleaning would be “negligent.”

    That framing felt aggressive given the clinical picture, and inconsistent with more conservative approaches I’ve since discussed with several other dentists who are personal friends.

    This is characteristic of corporate/DSO dentistry: treatments that are defensible, but pushed at the most aggressive end of the spectrum. I saw this exact behavior years ago when establishing a dental relationship in a new city, and it is sad that this type of behavior persists.

    I’d highly recommend finding a non-corporate practice that prioritizes long-term patient relationships and conservative care over charging patients $800+ for unnecessary upsell care. They lost two patients (me and my partner) today with this behavior.
