Very disappointed. Initially, because they would not return my repeated calls, regarding heat-pump they installed (and was not working), I drove 90 miles to their Palm Springs office. They eventually inspected the unit and sent me a $400 inspection bill. Later, they sent a second bill, increasing the inspection cost from $400 to $700. The total round-trip distance the tech drove from his Salton City home to Borrego Springs was 65+/- miles. Going froward, they now send me a $700 bill every few months. Not suprisingly, no one has ever called in the past 2 years.

I eventually bought a unit from a different vendor. I paid full price.

I'd give them a billion stars if I could. A/C went out on 114 degree day. A Sunday at that! They made it out to my place and stayed until after dark to get everything in order. House reached 94 inside, but at 8:45 finally heard the system click on and the house finally started to cool down. Thank you so much, David, Brian and everyone else.

BEWARE! Lake Air installed a total HVAC system just over 5 years ago. We had them out for maintenance and to check the fan. The tech said we needed a whole new system costing over $4,000. We are very part time in Palm Desert and hardly ever use the air conditioner. We got a second opinion from another air conditioning company. He said there was nothing wrong with our system and didn't understand why it should be replaced. He changed out the Freon and charged $150 and was there over 3 hours just to make sure everything was working. So, if you have Lake Air come out, get a second opinion before you trust what they say.
