We've been frequents guests at the Santiago in the past and are big fans, but hadn't stayed at Descanso until this trip. It more than lived up to our expectations. The property and service were as impeccable, friendly, and gracious as we'd come to expect from the Santiago and the experience was perfect in all respects. From the poolside breakfasts to the catered lunches, everything is elegant and the location is prime. The staff ensures that it never feels stuffy or overly formal. Literally can't say enough about the place and would recommend it wholeheartedly!!!
I haven’t actually stayed here though I have hung out by and pool on a sunny afternoon and WOW ? I’m the guy who painted those green stripes in all the rooms. The resort itself is tastefully decorated, and the grounds are well maintained. The whole resort is top shelf, but it’s the fabulous general manager Kent Taylor who makes this resort the delightful experience that it is. He and his staff are the people who make this place a magical and fun experience for all!
if you’re looking for accommodations in PS, look no further. RUN don’t walk to book this place. clean rooms, lush pool/ courtyard area, partial mountain views, and superb service by Kent & Maxwell and the entire team. the beverage centre/catina and breakfast had great choices. clothing optional so you do you. location wise, I thought it was great. there’s some good restaurants nearby and only 25 min walk to downtown Palm Springs. safe & pleasant neighbourhood where I enjoyed my morning runs.
