“Great in 2017 with kitchen cabinets and drawers, not as great this time with a small job, an L shaped floating desktop, it's supports, 3 corner shelves and 15 ft of custom crown moulding. Rory is enthusiastic, helpful and she cares. Isaias is an artist. Both of them make a great team and take pride in the work. I wish it ended there but we struggle with each other this time. I knew exactly what I wanted, how I wanted it made and how I wanted to install it. I gave sketches, templates, a finish sample and measurements, not all of which was followed. In the end, we are happy with the results other than
1. The finish not being fairly close to the sample of honey maple I gave them(shown with desktop). It was to match the kitchen drawers they did previously, even if that required staining to match at $50 more.
2. The matching of wood selections on the right side looks odd. The left side blends well, the right side abruptly goes from pinkish to blonde. It's not horrible but not great.

I'll see if my painter can do some stain work and am not comfortable asking them to address it, even if I were to pay a portion. That's an indication of how contentious it became to get things right and to move beyond egos and pride. The feedback I got from them was that I was asking too much and that I wasn't clear with what I wanted. I feel I was super clear and that I was able to provide working solutions to what they saw as production obstacles along the way. I'm not sure either very much appreciated my viewpoint and that was a disappointment. I do thank them regardless, and believe they tried to do a good job.“

“I was referred to Vick by a friend of ours in regards to a kitchen remodel I wanted done. I had never tackled a project like this before and was actually very intimidated at first. I contacted Vick and set up an appointment to come out to his shop to discuss my plans. He was very flexible. I being a mechanic myself am very very picky on who I like to work on and touch my belongings. When I walked into his shop to find him actively working and was very relived to find it organized. I discussed with him my ideas and he improved on my ideas by providing his expertise and professional input with design ideas and such, which I ended up going with due to the fact they were brilliant. I ended up doing all the demo on my kitchen, (Personal choice to save money) and setting it up for him so he can come install everything. He guided me on how to run certain things and where they should be and how I should leave it for him. During install Vick and his colleague were very meticulous while installing my cabinets taking their time to be exact and never doubted my inputs. During installation I had changed some ideas around and he was able to work with them building me an extra cabinet that wasn't on the original plan. Kitchen ended up looking AMAZING and all the little spaces of the old useless kitchen are now being used because of his brilliant ideas. “Cameron is a true craftsmen and did a swell job with our custom kitchen island, custom cabinets, doors and drawer fronts. Very precise and detailed. He was flexible and made some last minute changes to the panel above our hood fan as well as the island decorative panel. He built a custom sink cabinet for our farm sink and ensured plenty of support. The only gripe with this support is that there is a plywood board supporting the back of the sink which leaves only a narrow opening to access the faucet and soap holes from underneath making it almost impossible to access by hand. The counterweight for our faucet sprayer also keeps getting caught on this support back board. Told Cameron about it and he said this is more of a plumber issue...sigh. Otherwise, no complaints and you will not go wrong choosing Cameron.“

I specifically worked with Alison and Anna, and they were both cheerful, easy to work with, and provided great advice and pro tips that made our kitchen plan so much better than we originally thought. They helped us brainstorm, got a sense of our style preferences, and proposed great designs. One highlight was the creative idea of moving our laundry machines (which were located in the corner of our kitchen) into our back porch area. This allowed us to have more counter space and cabinetry in the kitchen, and a designated laundry room by closing off the back porch area. It was a brilliant idea, and we are so pleased with the result. They also had the idea of building a shelf for the kitchen that matched the wood work in the other parts of our Craftsman-style home. This was such a nice touch that tied in the kitchen design beautifully with the style accents of the rest of our home. They were patient with us in the many versions of the design, until we got it just right. They were able to point us to resources of where to look for specific items we wanted (like cabinet hardware, tiling, range hood) to match the interior of our Craftsman home.
