I was so grateful to be seen so quickly. I had broken my wrist while on vacation, and Dr. Halikis was able to fit me in immediately, complete my pre-op, and schedule surgery within a couple of days. I didn't find him arrogant or rude at all; he has a great sense of humor and made me laugh even though I was terrified, as I had never broken a bone or had surgery before. Now, three days post-surgery, I am pain-free. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!
Found his info through CHOC webpage and show he is the leading surgeon for hand. So we decided give him a try and took our kid there for a hand issue. He was super shot on me and no patient with my kid neither, she is barely two and of course she is scared. Did not even try to help to calm her down, simply grabbing her hand and examining. Then Ordered X ray, which was right down the hall way, only reason I am giving two star, no long wait time. he came back fair quickly but extremely rushing, when I try to distract my kid with my phone so I can hear him, he literally said, look, it's almost lunch time and I need you to pay full attention to what I'm saying. wow!! How rude and disrespectful! He did not even bother to show me the X ray, whole process took 5 mins and I'm still having so many questions that not answered. At one point, he even said and I quote " don't imagine things". Should have read all the reviews before going.
Dr. Halikis is very professional, kind and caring, he gives you advise based on what’s in your best interest and provides all treatment options, I would ignore comments from people saying he doesn’t know how to communicate, he is a very humble Doctor and has his patients best interest at heart! I was referred to Dr. Halikis through my son’s Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. Schlecter who had high regards for Dr. Halikis! Highly recommened!
