I decided to treat myself to a good haircut as my hair was seriously out of control. I read her great reviews and was excited to get a professional cut for a change.Now it's been over a month and my hair is growing out nicely and even! Rebecca did a terrific cut , she took the time and her skills were top notch.
Nothing short of spectacular. If you're within a light-year of Jolene's studio, make an appointment. Never have I had someone work on my body like they actually cared. Jolene just gets it. Cute one-room studio, not an ounce of pretension. Just pure, wonderful massage. Overjoyed to put her in my calendar.
I have been seeing "Dr. Andriy" since Dr. McNeal retired. He and his staff have consistently given me excellent dental care. Everyone there goes out of their way to meet patients' needs. The beautiful office feels relaxing. The hygienists' and front office staff's friendly, professional attitude is amazing. But don't let too many people find out!
Jenay is the BEST! It has taken me so long to get back in the studio after having babies and I’m so glad I found her! She’s grounded, inspiring, and such a beautiful human being!
I am quite picky about my bodyworkers, and I couldn't be happier with the treatment I receive from Jolene. Not only is she extremely knowledgable and skilled in the realm of bodies and healing, she is uniquely thoughtful and conscientious in terms of how accessibility, identity, and trauma can inform one's experience and needs around bodywork and healing. This is further demonstrated in her commitment to financial accessibility, for which she has several programs she offers to make holistic healthcare available to folks who otherwise might not be able to afford her work. I have been seeing Jolene regularly for several months now and intend to keep doing so -- can't recommend her enough, especially for fellow queer folks!
Dennis is a phenomenal acupuncturist, herbalist and teacher. His knowledge and care when it comes to working with his patients is beyond what I could ever expect from a practitioner. As an Acupuncturist myself I'm pretty picky about who I let treat me and Dennis is one of the very few I trust in this process, his herbal guidance far surpasses anyone I know and he just has a really tuned in way to approach cases that makes you feel supported and hopeful.
I went to OAEC for a staff retreat that my work booked. We were one of the only groups staying there not including the regular staff and residents there.We had a really good experiene there, with very great meeting spaces with good wifi, as well as different spaces for hiking.We had the meals made in their kitchen, which was prepared using eggs, fruits and vegetables that are produced there which were very fresh. They also had some homemade breads including gluten free options.One first day there, the staff gave us a tour of the grounds including the gardens where you can pick all the plants, fruits, veggies and herbs that aren't already listed "NOT TO PICK". Their housing was comfortable with the exception of bugs, but that's what happens when you're in the middle of nature. They also had a hot tub area which was very comfortable and well constructed. Also on the grounds as an arboretum to explore different plant life, a barn with chickens and goats, and pond which people can swin and paddle board on. Other wildlife including deers roam the grounds.I'd really recommend this place for a retreat space. Shoutout to the staff for maintaining it.
