Pride Cleaners is a great neighborhood dry cleaner. The service is fast with good prices, and clothes always come out perfect and clean. The staff, including a friendly cashier and a kind, respectful, and thorough young man, is very personable. They remember customers, show appreciation, and notice little things for complimentary mending. The elderly couple who were owners were very kind and took time to ask about families. The business is well done and very thorough.
I brought some sofa pillow covers that I thought would never get clean. I literally hadn’t dry cleaned them since I bought the sofa over 10 years ago. I kid you not. they looked brand new! a year later I spilled on them again. I’ll be bringing them back before the end of the year. Not necessarily cheap, but worth every penny, to have something like that looks brand new! I’m having company over during the holidays so it’ll be important to have them looking good. I also bring my mid weight down comforter there every other year for a cleaning and it too looks brand new as well! Bravo!

I went to Pride Cleaners for the first time and dropped of some shirts and a coat. The person receiving my items was curt and clearly did not care that I was a new customer. In fact, she was so short with me, I forgot to point out one of the shirts I brought was silk and would require dry cleaning and had a spot to pre-treat. As a professional providing a service, I would expect her to catch this. She didn't. Luckily, I called an hour or two later and asked if the service could be changed from launder to dry clean. I have been taking our shirts ,etc. to Pride Cleaners in Oakland for at least 20 years. They are competent , courteous and will do extras such as "spotting" on soiled spots or dirty collars . There can be no better cleaner in our Oakland area .. Also they are open early , so it makes it very convenient to drop of items on the way to work.
