A five star review is well deserved. Colin is a stellar professional, who is very knowledgeable, straightforward, friendly and honest. His team of painters were equally professional, with attention to detail, thorough and tidy.I worked with Platypus twice. The first time was seven years ago and the work they did on the interior walls was stellar. Recently, they completed a tricky job, prepping and painting old cabinet built-ins, beat-up door frames and molding. The woodwork looks very refreshed and gleaming.A stellar company to work with wonderful results!

I selected Platypus Painting to paint the interior of my house in June 2023. Colin was friendly and professional, and he provided a good overview of the job and how the company may differ from other companies in regard to the preparation, staff assignment, and paint quality. Their estimate was slightly higher than my middle estimate but these areas mentioned earlier helped me in my decision. Plus Colin provided me with an estimate in a timely manner whereas several other companies either never provided their estimate or it came much later than discussed. I enjoyed working with the team. I've had Platypus paint the complete interior during a full remodel, as well as the exterior doors and window, and also do a follow-up stain treatment on cedar shingles.In all cases, the work has been exceptional; the on-site team thoughtful and courteous and helpful; the work speedy, tidy and reasonably-priced, in my judgment.I've hired other painters in the area on 3-4 other occaisons, and I'd recommend Platypus above all of them.They worked quickly to meet a tight timeline on the exterior stain work recently.
