We had our wedding here! The staff was super helpful and accommodating in taking full advantage of the venue: commercial kitchen, sound system, lighting customization, hand-painted stage backdrops, parking lot, etc.
We had only minor feedback that would've improved our experience. We got dressed in the theatre dressing rooms and they appeared to not have been cleaned: there was crushed cookies in parts of the carpet. Normally, we wouldn't mind this, but it put us on alert to not accidentally get our wedding clothes dirty before the ceremony. We had an event here and it was so good! The backstage was so roomy and the staff was so kind, in making sure everything was okay and went to plan and were there to help. The massive rooms and ceiling help the audio flow throughout the room perfectly. Also the vending machines were so nice to have.

My husband and I attended a piano/vocal workshop at the Scottish Rite Center in Oakland for the opera "Dolores". Although it was a private performance (the World Premier is scheduled for 2025), It was open to donors, supporters, opera companies, and family of Dolores Huerta. The location is located on the shores of Lake Merritt. There is 2 hour parking around the general area and,also appeared to have private parking as well.. The venue is quite large. I believe there are 5 floors. The elevators were large, and the bathroom were clean with a huge lounge in front of the entry to the women's bathroom.
