Community acupuncture turns out to be as positive as it sounds. Not only does it provide vital care even for those of us who can’t afford what we need at one-on-one prices — such an important mission — but the quality of care is excellent. I’ve had a fair amount of acupuncture at various times and in various places, earlier in my life; I feel qualified to say that Evelyn definitely has “the touch”. Though I banged up my aging shoulders pretty badly and then made it even worse by not getting any care, (couldn’t afford it and didn’t know about community acupuncture until recently), I can feel improvement after each session. Fast forward 73 years…You’ll be getting acupuncture to end your (fill in the blank pain) or getting your chi stoked on your lunch hour! Before the crowd finds out, too late!?!, get where you need to go right now and make an appointment!!! Closest thing we have to a wizard so run don’t walk! ??

I scheduled the same day, I think it was a cancelation from another client because there was only one appointment left. I was really grateful to be seen the same day. I was jetlagged, low energy and still a little nauseous from a long flight a few days prior. I just didn't feel right, and a few days of rest wasn't helping. Dawn fixed me right up! I felt so much better after the treatment; it was quite surprising. Thanks so much, Dawn!

The purpose of Oakland Acupuncture Project is to make Chinese Medicine accessible by providing affordable community-centered health care. All acupuncture treatments are individualized to meet your needs, and are performed in a quiet community space. We charge on a sliding scale: $20-40 for follow up visits. $45 for new patients. You decide what you can afford. We will NEVER make you prove your income level. Cash or Check preferred. Rest as long as you like. We have a strict 12-hour cancellation policy.
