We've had a number of shoes, bags and leather items repaired here. This shop is a great neighborhood resource. He's always reasonable and does a great job repairing things. Most recently I had some men's shoes resoled and it was worth it, he did a really nice job.
I would recommend this guy without hesitation. I didn't know they could re-sole today's hiking shoes. I love my Vasques and the tops were great but the soles were well worn; I wanted them for everyday wear. The owner, Han charged me $60 to re-sole them. That beats another $140 for a new pair. They stool look like new from above. After a couple of months though the heel became separated a bit. I called the cobbler and he told me to bring them in. I asked him how much it would cost he said no charge. He fixed them and I gave him $10 anyway. In total now I have had these shoes a year longer and they are still looking well and fitting just right. It beats forking out $140 plus for new ones.
First I had a new heel put on: cheap and good. A couple of years later I had a pair of scuffed up beige SAS shoes dyed burgundy: they came back looking like new ($24). New SAS: $175. I love this place. However, owner doesn't speak much English, so don't expect to carry on a long discussion regarding your footwear hopes and fears.
