A year ago I was diagnosed with a melanoma by a Kaiser dermatologist. Although the surgery was excellent and everything went well, there was no follow-up from the dermatology department. I recently tried to get an appointment about some concerning growths, and was told that I would have to wait several months. My own doctor was no help with getting an appointment sooner. After I insisted with the dermatology department, I got an appointment in a few weeks. The dermatologist (apparently on loan from UCSF) told me that there was a special melanoma list for patients who had previously had melanomas. The list insured appointments every three months for two years, then every six months. He put me on the list. But my questions are: why didn't this happen before? Why wasn't my own doctor aware of this list? why didn't the dermatology appointment desk take my previous melanoma into consideration when I asked for an appointment? and, finally, am I really on this list and will they actually call me to make an appointment, as promised? I am seriously thinking of leaving Kaiser after this!

Worst hospital I have ever visited. I traveled all the way from Hawaii and not one doctor or nurse talked to me after the procedures and treated me like a name and number. They did not even have a list of my allergies and after spending thousands of dollars on tests, airfare, and lodging for me and my companion never even addressed my condition. My referring doctor was on vacation and no one even told me I could go home so we had to stay an additional five days before we could get Kaiser to arrange for travel home. I am still suffering from the same condition I went there for with absolutely no recommendations except taking nitroglycerin every day and consulting with a dietitian. No compassion, no caring, no professional care. This would NEVER happen in Hawaii! Absolutely appalling.

I am so grateful to the surgeons, doctors who worked hard and nurses and staff who helped my stepmom with stage 3 cancer tongue cancer for 2 years! And she made it and got back to normal after all we love you guys!

My initial exam was good Dr. Angel was kind and thorough in reviewing my medical history. She left out the exam room to consult with the doctor about her findings and didn't return after 22min of me waiting in the exam room and no one updating me or checking in I went to get a staff. When I ask the Someone when Dr. Angel was returning there semed be no knowledge of me even becoming the room or who I was there seeing. I waited for another 3 min and left. Dr. Angel put No after visit summary notes in my chart she ordered one liver test which I have no idea why it was ordered and I don't know what the follow up or next steps are for my original concern. My time was not honored during that appointment and it was absolutely not prioritized as a patient.

Yes there are ups and downs but I'll be forever grateful to the doctors and staff of this facility. When needed I've gotten emails and calls from staff and the DOCTORS! I lost two parents but had the most wonderful compassion of the doctors and GREAT Hospice staff. THANK YOU

I find this facility to be well designed and I love every room (including emergency room) has single occupancy (to control infection and meet HIPAA standards.) The medical staff are really professional and well trained and caring. The hospital cafeteria has good food too. I am happy this is my local hospital!

I took a family member to Kaiser Oakland for a medical procedure. Located on Broadway and MacArthur, the area can be hectic with limited street and structure parking. Luckily, parking wasn't a big issue for us. You do have to pay for parking, the first 30 minutes are free, followed by a dollar every 30 minutes after.This particular Kaiser is large with many different departments. Clean for the most part, but feels slightly outdated. The handful of staff I encountered were friendly and helpful, and I felt that my family member was in good hands from start to end during their medical procedure.

Worst care I've ever received. I could not log into portal for the entirety of my time at Kaiser. Getting a drug screen is impossible and basically every service there is garbage.

I ended up, pressing the emergency button 27 times as I was electronically tethered to my bed for safety and Wood set off the alarm if I tried to get out of bed.In the evening, check vital statistics was were four times a day medication and testing the level of cholesterol blood pressure and diabetes Ashley actually all three eliminated within a period of five weeks through diet Hit the emergency on-call button 27 times.
