My elderly father moved to Oakland from rural Maine with his 3 year-old Vizsla, Cooper who is a very sensitive dog who was not used to walking on lead or living in the city. Courtney helped us learn to read Cooper’s nervous cues and respond with positive reinforcement. She taught us specific lessons to do with Cooper that worked very well. Both my father and Cooper are adjusting well and we are so grateful to Courtney for all her talent and insight.

Courtney is incredibly patient and kind when working with the human so as to encourage you. She's a skilled teacher as well as a skilled trainer. I had a 1yr old pitbull to jumped at her and growled at her when she first came to my house and he LOVES HER. She goes the extra distance for her clients. She bought a husky type stuffed dog to help my dog with his leash reactivity with huskies. 100% recommend, especially with the bully/pitbull breeds.

We are so thankful we found Courtney to help with our anxious boy. We originally purchased a 4-session package to work on his anxiety, protectiveness and fearfulness of strangers. From the initial evaluation to our last session Courtney explained everything in great detail, including step-by-step instructions for practicing the training methods at home. Barto is visibly more relaxed on our walks and much easier directed in the tough places (i.e. the car and our apartment complex). We loved the way Courtney operates so we signed up for another package to work on his recall/come when called. Courtney understands reactive dogs and teaches the owners how to manage the behavior and learn more about what your dog is really trying to communicate. Not to mention whenever we say, "time to go see Courtney," Barto gets so excited and starts wiggling!
