“My son turned 4 and we decided to enroll him in many clubs and activities to see where his passion lies. I have heard many great things about this business but have felt too old and unatheletic to attend myself. They have a pedigree of training state level fighters which might have intimidated me. We turned up today for the free trial session. Half the town way here . These guys have a big following. There was a strict code of honor required by the instructors for the children. Bowing, shaking hands and thanking the opponent for the opportunity to fight. My son being in the 4-7 yr age group was very impressionable and looking to the older children for correct behavior. The instructor/owner was patient yet inspiring and was so engaged I couldn't have looked for a better role model to help educate my son to be a respectful young man yet also inspire him to gain a passion for MMA. Having spent 4 years learning judo when I was young. I can say that this place has a different quality and feel to it than I was shown. The staff (owner?) in the shop were welcoming and approachable. I hope my son maintains an interest as well, as I feel there is a true friendship to be gained from being a member here. I see enough windscreens stickers throughout town to see the popularity this dojo has.“

“My daughter has been training at Seon Do Martial Arts since June 2022. Master Matt is very knowledgeable about Martial Arts. He is patient, encouraging and works well with children and adults. My daughter has gained confidence and knowledge of self defense. I was so impressed with Seon Do Martial Arts that I joined the adult class in September. It has been a privilege to train Taekwando with my daughter. Matt and Tonia have created a family friendly place and a wonderful opportunity for Escalon to learn about Martial arts.“

“This is the studio to attend to learn true self defense. Da Shifu Lara is extremely knowledgeable and very adept at teaching his skills to others. The instructors show great respect to all of the students and the students are taught self confidence & respect for others. So they are learning life skills as well as a martial art that could not only save their life & the lives of their loved ones, but can be practiced for their entire life. Students can start as early as 3 or 4. There are also students in their late 70’s & early 80’s.Sho Shou is a form of self defense that teaches students how to avoid and protect themselves then neutralize an aggressive situation. One of the lessons taught over and over is “You win every fight that you avoid.”I have practiced Sho Shou several years and the other practitioners have become a second family to me. Also i’ve had people tell me that I carry myself with more confidence and have an inner calmness that was lacking before Sho Shou.“
