I really love ra yoga and the instructors at the newport location - very encouraging in challenging your practice and ability, rather than intimidating. Great overall vibe.

I came here with two friends for a hot yoga class and it was a full class. Jaime was our instructor and she kept an eye on me and helped me out a few times because she knew I was new. The class was great but I thought it was a little too packed compared to another class I took. I just wished there was a little more space between myself and the next person.

I had the absolute worst experience I have ever had in my 600+ classes on ClassPass. I took my mom as a guest as well and we were right next to the door and 7 people slammed open the door more than 5 mins after class started finally at 11:40. ( not to mention no one even said sorry) after 7 head slams we had had enough of getting our head slammed and left the class only to be met with the front desk person being unapologetic and wouldn’t even give us two cards to email our complaint. I have been to ra over 10x and my fiancé is a member for 5 years and he is looking at cancelling his membership due to this.

I'm not a consistent yoga go-er here but everytime I'm here to take a class I feel very welcomed and get such a good workout. I've taken almost all the classes they have to offer from doing Yogalates to Hot Yoga to Vinyasa to Restorative. I love that there is the range for when I'm in the mood for a sweaty ab workout or if I want to stretch and decompress. Only con is that it is a smaller studio and that there's a couple times the AC broke. But love love Ra

Contacted Ra Yoga to arrange private lesson for small group, and was so grateful for the willingness and responsiveness to my request. Veesta communicated with me during the process and Denise was our instructor. The whole process was smooth, and the Denise instructed an amazing hour of yoga on the beach. All five in our group were impressed and thankful for Ra Yoga!

Instructors are welcoming to all, and go out of their way to make class a fun light-hearted space. There is a strong emphasis on building community, which I fully appreciate. I especially loved their Summer of Joy Challenge, in which donations were matched for an organization of choice, along with a donation drive. Lots of class times and styles are offered, and if that still doesn't work, classes are streamed, so you still have lots of options--there is no way you are going to miss out on a class. ;) Parking can be a little hectic, but if you ask the studio, pro-tips will be given, and you'll get a sense of how to handle timing. Management is also very responsive to any questions or concerns: they've been great with communication. Love you RA!

I'm never going to give 5 stars to the white people appropriation of yoga. It's a sacred cultural practice that has been cut up and made of mockery of in the West. Since when is a 15 minute Lizzo playlist anywhere appropriate for a yoga class? Yogalates at that? What is that? I get you're just trying to get a good workout in but Jesus Christ there is no reverence or attention to detail to the real beautiful Indian practice that is yoga. Where can I find a studio that's Indian owned potentially as well? Is there any such thing as yoga in SoCal that isn't "keep yoga weird, downward facing dog lizzo playlist" studio that exists anywhere?????? Having that said the instructors are well intentioned and strong.

First and foremost, this studio is so beautiful. The whole staff is lovely. My class I took tonight, went above my expectations. I was in the middle of a severe pain attack, dropped all my activities, and rushed to Ra. Owen was my instructor, and it was like he created the flow just for me. His class was better than taking a Xanax, my normal emergency tool when I'm panicking. I highly recommend his class, he brings every aspect of healing through movement, breath and intentional focus of meditation. Thank you, Owen. Leaving your class, I cried my eyes out, and let it flow. So filled with gratitude that you were our guide.
