I had previously seen Dr Campbell when I lived in the area for Botox and filler (and still trust her more than anyone for this). While I am now a plane ride away I recently did a skincare 'checkup' as a virtual visit to go through my products, morning and night routine, and make sure that what I am using is what is actually best for me. My routine has gotten overly complicated and I had so many expensive, clean beauty products that I was using sort of ad hoc. After having a baby I also have some melasma that I just figured I would treat with a laser later. Dr Campbell went through everything with me, both assessing the products that I already have and discussing the ingredients/actives that would be most beneficial for my skin (to address current concerns or just optimize for smart aging and to try to erase the melasma). She told me which items I should keep in my routine, along with why, what I should add or subtract, and why along with a few helpful asides on current research to support her recommendations. She gave me options for her own line or drugstore brand options, and in real time also looked up some of my clean beauty favorites to see if they included the key ingredients that would make them effective for an updated routine. She did also make some suggestions for in-office treatments when I asked that would be helpful in optimizing my skin. Her office sent a write-up of her suggestions, which I then printed and taped to my bathroom mirror. It's also given me a whole new framework for how to assess new products that I'm tempted to get and know whether or not they might work for my skin. It was SO helpful and even in just a month my skin had more 'bounce' and looks and feels more even. I should have done this virtual visit sooner! So grateful for Dr.Campbell.

Dr. Campbell is fantastic! 10/10 recommend. I've visited for a variety of services (lasers, injections) and leave happy with my results each time. She's a caring doctor who takes time to understand what you're solving for and how she can help.

The most unprofessional office l have ever dealt with! l have been having VBEAM laser treatment for years at UCSF; however, they are so booked up that l had to search for other providers with availability. My first encounter was with Sarah, the office manager who was a bit gruff. She put me in a room and asked a few questions about the purpose of my visit. I was very surprised that l had not yet filled out the requisite paperwork with my medical history, etc. Prior to my visit, l was unable to log into their patient portal due to continuous, and problematic, log in issues. I made several requests to have the forms emailed to me, but these requests fell on deaf ears! After a brief consultation with Dr. Campbell, she offered to proceed with the treatment. But wait! I hadn't even filled out my medical history yet! I had to remind Sarah that l should do this prior to treatment. Papers were finally filled out, but l don't think they were even looked at to be honest. And so treatment proceeded. Two days after the treatment, on a Saturday, l developed extreme swelling under my eyes. After years of receiving VBEAM treatment, this had never happened before. I iced, elevated my head, took Benadryl, etc. but nothing helped. l called the office first thing on Monday but nobody answered. The answering machine recording directed me to their email address. l then sent an email with several photos of the swelling and still zero response! Seriously, two days have gone by since l sent an email with my concerns and still no reply. What kind of aftercare is this? I was also promised a prescription for Valtrex for a cold sore on my mouth, but it was never called in. If you take the risk of visiting this office, please be aware that you may well be on your own if you have any post-treatment problem. Extremely unprofessional and unethical!

Dr. Campbell is an excellent dermatologist. I've gone to her for milia removal as well as for dysport for my crow's feet and jaw. She's professional and kind. Her office is lovely and I am always seen quickly. She does not push products, botox or filler and I appreciate that she gives a natural look.

Dr. Campbell is an excellent and knowledgeable dermatologist and I am extremely pleased with my experience at her office. She was empathetic, provided autonomy on what I needed as a patient while also providing expert advice on the best approach, and delivered excellent results. I have been to other dermatologists and what makes her unique is that she provides a comprehensive patient care as opposed to just treating skin problems. She was caring, present, and listened carefully. You can tell that she really cares about patient experience from all the details that have been put into her practice, including the gorgeous office space, helpful front desk staff, extra steps to protect patient privacy, and ease of online bookings, just to name a few. I am so glad I found her practice and will be referring all my friends and family members to go see her!

Dr. Campbell is an amazing doctor! I took my boyfriend to have her look at some odd and questionable skin spots. She is extremely knowledgeable and kind. She knew how to ease his mind and explained all of his options. He was super nervous and really needed that hand holding, and she was very reassuring!

I have been seeing Dr Campbell for nearly four years and I can't recommend her enough! I first visited her as I hadn't seen a dermatologist in several years and wasn't happy with the redness tone and texture of my skin. Little did I know, I have rosacea! She quickly diagnosed me, helped me revamp my daily skincare routine with rosacea-appropriate products, and recommended a series of Vbeam treatments as well as regular updates. It was a game changer! I can't believe I waited so long to fix my skin!! Since then, she's been a steady and reliable partner as I've dipped my toes into anti-aging treatments. Dr Caren always listens carefully to my concerns and makes recommendations in-line with my comfort level. She is direct and no nonsense, but kind and respectful. After four years together, I fully trust her knowledge, perspective and recommendations! She is a gem!

LITIGATION PENDING AND UNDER INVESTIGATION BY THE MEDICAL BOARD OF CALIFORNIA FOR GROSS NEGLIGENCE AND DISCRIMINATION. DONT EXPECT POST-TREATMENT CARE. On February 15, 2022. I received Fraxel Laser Treatment from Dr. Campbell. Following my treatment, Dr. Campbell's office advised that they would check in 2 days post-treatment and did not follow through. I was experiencing redness, inflammation and swelling, so I emailed Dr. Campbell's office on Days 2 and 7. Given the rare but known side-effects, I wanted to ensure that I was healing normally. In response, I was informed in person and in writing by Dr. Campbell that she will no longer be treating me, as her office did not have the "administrative bandwidth" to handle post-treatment concerns. This is baffling as her post-treatment instructions encourage patients to reach out should any questions arise. Given the aforementioned facts, the Doctor's refusal of services on the grounds of my correspondence/administrative burden is wholly baseless. At best, Dr. Campbell's unsubstantiated dismissal is flagrant negligence, at worst, it is discrimination based on race and sexual orientation. Regardless of the reasons, this unprofessionalism is unbecoming of a licensed, board certified healthcare provider. On top of the discriminatory practices, this practice attempted to withhold medical records and attempted to charge $200 to discuss post-treatment concerns, in addition to the $200 that was billed for the initial consultation and $1,400 for Fraxel treatment.

I feel so lucky to have found Caren! She handles my skin sensitivities and concerns with supportive education and solutions. I am so glad she has a Napa office location in addition to her thriving San Francisco location. She is a life saver! It's also beautiful, calming office.
