* Yiqian has a true talent for capturing candid moments that bring a wedding album to life. Our photos reflect the genuine emotions and interactions throughout the day. We also loved the natural staging of the couples photos.
* From the start, Yiqian was highly responsive, checking in every few months before the wedding to ensure we felt comfortable and confident about the process. We received our full album less than a month after the wedding, allowing us to relive our day quickly.
* Luma Photos offers creative options, like mini shoots, which gave us flexibility in capturing different parts of our journey. We’re looking forward to our 1-year anniversary photo shoot with her! The 2nd photographer was an important add-on, giving us unique angles and moments we wouldn’t have had otherwise.
* Yiqian captured all of the requested family photos, although coordinating multiple large groups was challenging. Her soft-spoken approach led us to step in a bit more than expected, and the nature of the group + lighting adjustments resulted in some whitewashed and (in hindsight) less than ideal backgrounds. We wish we’d prioritized a few extra close-up photos with just the two of us.
* Yiqian’s familiarity with the Presidio was a bonus. She recommended beautiful spots and even drove us around to efficiently capture the best scenes before the wedding started.

“I cannot say enough good things about Larissa. She was one of the absolute best decisions I made regarding our wedding. I was just looking for a few “money shots” of our wedding, you know, the photos you frame and hopefully end up on your grandkids wall one day. We have only gotten our “preview shots” back and she also already delivered SO much more than that. She managed to capture so many of the emotional moments of our big day but was never intrusive. She just somehow knows exactly where to be when to get the best photos. Also, my husband and I both usually feel a little awkward in front of the camera, but Larissa completely put us at ease. She was just fun to hang out with on our wedding day and all of that “awkwardness” melts away in the photos. Larissa is creative and artistic but also professional and organized. I trusted her completely the day of our wedding to make sure we stayed on our timeline and got all the photos we wanted (which was a big list!) She really understands weddings in general but also took the time to understand our wedding and us. She doesn't do many weddings a year, and so it really is a personalized experience. When everything is over, your photos are one of the only things you have to remember your wedding by. Looking at Larissa’s photos reminds me of all the joy of that magical day.
