I've stayed at a lot of hotels (boutique specifically) and this was the best experience I've ever had. So many thoughtful details throughout Room #7 - Spa View. I luxuriated in the claw foot tub and steam shower every night. I also got to meet Molly, the general manager. She was warm and welcoming, she knew my name! How often can you say that these days?!
This boutique inn is a dream! From the easy, clear communication for check-in to the beautifully appointed rooms and bathroom, we were in the lap of luxury for our night at Nicholson House. I loved the vinyl records, the scrabble board, the delicious treats, and the location in the heart of Mendocino was perfect. Complimentary morning coffee and pastries at the Waiting Room next door was a great touch. I couldn't recommend Nicholson House more! 5 stars!
As a photographer, I am always looking for a place to stay that has character but also quality. This is the definition of both. We stayed in a queen room and it was perfect. Heated floors in the bathroom, are you kidding me?! The little kitchenette was so useful for our 5 month old and they even had a little welcome drink for us. The Nicholson house is also in the perfect area, we had dinner at Beoujolais (good, but expensive)...they also have this cute little "waiting room" that you can have coffee at in the morning but also a night cap at night. I CAN'T wait to come back and will definitely book one of their larger rooms. Thank you Nicholson house for being such a good host!
