“I am so impressed with the quality of work they do at Sunrise. I've taken several items in for cleaning and to be mended or altered and the work they do is superb! And their prices are very reasonable given the professional expert results you get. But what prompted my review was when I brought a formal deess in to get pressed and there were a lot of pleats in the skirt. It came back looking so perfect, I was just in awe. That had to take hours to do. And the price was very fair considering the amount of labor involved. The staff is also very warm and friendly. I'm grateful they are close to home.“

“I love the people who run & operate this full service dry cleaners in Orinda. They are not as pricey as most of the other Orinda options, they are excellent quality, quite fast, never loose any of our stuff, and also they do expert alterations at a fair & reasonable price. Recently I brought some dressed to be altered for 2 weddings and they were HALF of what two dry cleaners/tailors were charging in the other part of Orinda!!! This alone saved me over $80 bucks! They are super nice & honest! Oh and there is plenty of parking too!“

I just want to add that I’ve been frequenting this dry cleaners for a couple of years now and they are always pleasant and helpful. But what astounds me is how rude and self righteous some of the customers are to them. It’s astonishing to me that people treat others this way. This is a great business and bless them for dealing with some of these outrageous customers…..a true gem in our neighborhood!

“A large suit seller utterly failed with my alterations after two tries. My pants were blousy abominations that made me look like I was wearing diapers. But Lusona saved the day! They had to pretty much tear apart and re-create the entire pair of pants too - AND THEY DID SO PERFECTLY!

Even better, I needed an extreme rush because I had to fly to Hawaii for a wedding. I could not be happier.

And last but not least, the two owners (mother and daughter) are so charming! I'd recommend this wonderful establishment for that reason alone.“

“I have been looking for the perfect person who can do my Jeans Alterations. I tried Nordstrom in Walnut Creek not satisfied I will give them Zero star if I can, do not waste your money . Then I had lunch with my friends near her shop so I said I should try this place . One day I stopped by told her what I want and she has suggestions so I said okay . What a surprised it was done perfectly ! From then on she is my go to if needed any alterations and dry cleaning. I can say pretty sure I am hard to please but she did . Excellence right there ! I have never come across a more caring company. Dutch Girl Cleaners heard that I was in a terrible car accident that had resulted in many broken bones and that I needed extra help. I posted online asking if anyone could help me wash and dry my family's clothes. I'm a disabled Army veteran with three boys at home, and on a limited income. The Bay Area is filled with generous people. I had offers from strangers to do the laundry.
Most were happy with the $30 that I could pay but I had an incredibly generous offer from the owners at Dutch Girl. Joe and his wife (owners) offered to do all of my family's laundry, free of charge, until I was feeling better and back on my feet. They also included free delivery and pickup. I was speechless. It was an amazing and thoughtful gift! With three boys, it was a lot of laundry! Joe took care of everything and put me on the next route to be picked up. Within a couple of days, all of my laundry was delivered, folded, and smelling so much better. I used their cleaning service for 8 weeks. There was never a delay or problem with any of the clothes. They have a very easy-to-use app, and I was texted before and after every pickup. DGC lifted a heavy burden from me in a very desperate time of need. We all had clean clothes again, and it was one big task I didn't have to worry about during my recovery. DGC is a great company and epitomizes the meaning of a community leader.“
