De Barra Academy Of Irish Dance. My 7 yo daughter has been part of the De Barra Academy Family for 18 months and she absolutely loves it. She had never attended a dance class before joining DBA and neither had I. What I thought would be a twice a week hobby for her has turned into so much more. She has taken to it like a moth to a flame and a big part of that is purely to do with her teacher, Tara. Tara is a down to earth Irish Mom that has extreme talent, passion and dedication for Irish dance and the kids she teaches (and hapened to be a principle dancer for Riverdance) She puts her heart, soul, blood sweat and tears into getting these kids to where they want to go and I for one could not be happier about about the fact that my daughter is being mentored by her.
Tara is a rare talent who was one of the leading dancers of her generation from such a beautiful region of Ireland. As a colleague overseas I deeply admire and respect her and her talented students whom I have had the pleasure to watch at Major International Championships.
